I noticed the same thing when I installed 29. I ended up using Titanium to reinstall my apps. Not what you wanted to hear.
 
Not really. It has happened on other from builds also. It worked last nite so I nandroided and flashed B29. Good till the next time it happens I guess.

I'm waiting as well, but luckily (or not?) I'm busy as hell this week, so not thinking about it so much.

Survived the mother in law visit, so that's something.
 
Wiped and flashed. All is well so far, no big changes I can tell.

I can't get a custom lockscreen wallpaper though. ROM Control keeps crashing. I'm using ROM Manager to fix permissions to see if that helps.

Running stock kernel, but will install Lean 3 later.

I don't think B29 can do custom lock screen...should be fixed in B30 though. Something about "rushing 4.0.4 out the door" and not having enough time to really do good quality control.
 
Can't wait for 30. Actually had a dream last night that it came out. Pathetic I know but I feel like that fat kid waiting for the dinner bell...don't know when it will ring but I know it will be soon. Every night it doesn't come out...I get tempted to do 29. Actually dl one night but never flashed. Come on...this fat kid wants to eat!

And a long wait it has been. Must be some super sauce included in B30. I thought confidently that it would've been out by now. Heck I thought it would've been out this past Sunday night.

29 is very good, the 3 known bugs have not affected me at all. Battery life with stock kernel on B29 is insanely good and stable.

Their MO: thing is they're sooo good at keeping other projects hush hush. They taunt and tease with one new feature, meanwhile they're working on 3 other new features that we might know about, but have no clue when/if they're going to be implemented. I'm feeling an imminent release #30 atm :D

Imminent in the real sense or imminent like Verizon releases phones and updates imminent? :p:)

Hi, great post. I tried your settings and my phone will not let me set the screen for the 0 slot anything below 20. Any ideas?


Also, what are your other settings? For example decrease hysteresis, window length, etc.

Hmm I wonder if this explains why 25% with b29 seems as bright (or perhaps a little brighter) than b28 @ 38%.

If AOKP is changing the default brightness offset by 20% it would explain me seeing the brightness difference between b28 and b29. hmm :confused:

I guess I should see if 18% is the same as my old 38% but I'm too lazy to do a nandroid, then restore b28 and check lol
