[Verizon] [ROM] Codename Android for JB (updated 10/2)

Just reporting in...getting set up as we speak. Coming over from sorcery...was nice, but cna with trinity seems a little snapper right out the gate. I'll give two days and report back. Great work though to the dev

what kernel are you using? the franco kernel that I'm running (in interactive) looks like it runs at the 729 setting, even though my max is 1229. Looking at the CPU Spy, it does run at the 1229 setting, but not nearly as often as the 729 setting.

My guess is that this is a kernel thing and not ROM specific.

Yeah.think it's kernel related, the max setting was being brought down...flashed lean...no issue yet

FYI, did some research for you - there is a new setting in the latest JB release that messes with some of the kernels out there, like trinity and lean kernel, and keeps them from holding over a 700 max. Lean and Franco have fixed it, hence why I haven't had the issue. The others are working on it.

Have downloaded and flashed (dirty) several of the nightlies without any issues. No big changes except for the addition of Torch. Looks like, in my opinion, he is trying to clean up some stuff and organize it better before adding new features.

Also got shot down on my camera silencing feature because it is "illegal.". Not an issue in AOKP, so I don't see why a disclaimer wouldn't be sufficient. :(

I feel soooo cheated. :D

I'm curious to see if there are any real changes/additions in this release.
He's been adding a few things in the background, but nothing major/groundbreaking. For example, the HDR setting for the camera would be cool, but I'd much rather have the ability to hide my Nav buttons so I'll quit hitting home in the middle of my N.O.V.A. 3 games!

Not sure if it's just me (or maybe time's slowing down), but all ROMs seem to have hit a wall on some of the change requests. We're nowhere near (again, in my opinion) where we were at the end of ICS ROMs.

I just wish he'd add in a toggle for fast charge. That is the only thing that I am missing on this ROM that Sourcery had.

Just installed this and it Rocks! One thing that is weird. I installed this

Goo.im Downloads - Downloading CNA-GAPPS-JRO03C-CameraFeatures-NoPicasa.zip

But my camera no worky :-(
(says app isn't installed)

I'm going to try and install it again

Look at that it just takes starting a post of phandroid to get your phone fixed :-)

Wait I posted to fast. So, when I first start from a reboot, I can access my camera from the lock screen, and then get to the gallery, but when I close it down and I try again, it gives me the error that I posted above.
Are there permissions that I need to enable? I did a complete wipe and made sure that all the checksums were correct.

Are there other google apps that I should use besides the link above (thought that swapping around google apps between different roms was a no no)

Thanks

Update...

A reflash of the rom and gapps fixed the camera problem!

BTW...If you have not discovered this ROM I feel really sorry for you. This thing is like driving a time traveling delorean in the 1950's! (for those to young to understand this see the movie Back To the Future). So many sweet mods. Thanks guys. It is going to take me a week to find everything.

I was going to ask if you used the gapps with camera features or picasa features, but since you got it going, I guess it doesn't matter. :D

Thanks for asking. I double checked that and then just decided to reflash everything. Now if you could link me to some info about all the options that this rom has in store, that would be great(like what is the best setting for automatic backlight under the display menu with in the ROM interface, not the device interface)

Thanks for posting back

If you mean "use custom", I have everything on that screen unchecked.

I use the GlaDOS kernel and use that to dim the screen and set the gamma.
