[Verizon] [rom]jbsourcery v5.4-lte[06/07/13] jb4.2.2 The Final Call

Loving the new stuff so far. Actually was going to ask about multi-user and then saw the notes come through. Curious as to if it's in the works to allow at least Phone on the 2nd user in the future. I imagine we'd need a 2nd set of contacts we could create, not sure how that works. That was actually the only reason I was thinking I MIGHT use a 2nd user, is if someone said "Hey, lemme use your phone for a sec to call so-and-so".

Not game-breaking by any means, was just curious :)

Thank you for all you do for us!

it doesnt allow access to phone or messaging. the rest looks to be working well. Been running it a few hours now.

The design was for a 2nd user to play games/music etc. a child to borrow, things like that.

I was cruising through the Extra apps in Tools and need to advise you that the Wallet & Titanium Backup apps are way out of date. Thought I would let you know :)

Otherwise another great ROM!

Updated... also threw in the new inverted pandora to the list ;)

no worries, was just wondering if it was something down the pipe or not. Not that I like giving up my phone anyway :P

Appreciate some help. I'm trying to update the ROM, but while in twrp I can't locate the rom or gapps. I can see them in file manager, and downloaded it three times to be sure it's good.

So after giving it a good solid couple days, I found the only bug (if it's that) that I can think of. I have a Jabra Bluetooth Speakerphone on my car visor, which up until now has worked near flawlessly. There have been rare instances where audio would stop, but was very few and far between.

On 4.2.1 so far though, I've had a slightly different issue twice just today. For some reason, and I can't say exactly what caused it, but Bluetooth would just simply not connect. So, ok, I turned off my speakerphone, and back on, and it wouldn't connect. So I'd go to toggle BT off and back on in the phone settings, and it would just hang there until I reboot. It doesn't seem that it's actually turning off. It shows "Bluetooth turning off" in the settings, but never goes through. Even after rebooting, BT is still turned on, so it just isn't toggling off. This is using the pull-down toggles, I should add. I didn't go into the bluetooth settings and use that one. Once rebooted, everything connects fine again.

Not sure what would cause it that way. It might have just gotten locked up when I walked back in range of the speakerphone (which I left turned on), to where it didn't connect, but then wouldn't turn off. I dunno. Just figured I'd toss this out in case anyone else is seeing anything similar.

On another note, unrelated, stopped in my old VZW store again today, played with the DNA for about ten seconds before going "nope, still nothing I desperately need to give my Nexus up for". Love this thing, times a million, since being Sourcerized! It really is a new phone every ROM!

Currently no... hearing rumors of something in the works... hopefully soon...

not having issues here on unsecured network

Thanks. I'm looking forward to it. I am so spoiled with Sourcery that I can't get myself to like any of the N7 Roms.

Well I'm all reflashed and my biggest plus is the exceptional battery life (provided kernel). I'm still at 65% after taking it off the charger at 6am and being at work all day. Light use there but still, I'm sneaking up on 11 hours now. For the Gnex, that's killer good. Gonna skip any mods this time around, I'm just using the JB control center stuff, don't need anything else. I want zero issues + speed + max battery life and that's what I'm seeing right now.

cant wait for jbs 4.1 to drop so i can upgrade from 4.1.2 to 4.2.1. just waiting for all the bugs to get knocked out and the stability/features get seasoned into the pot...

Hey guys. Love sourcery and love how helpful the devs are. Only issue I'm having right now is the fact that my Google play store is in black and white. Not sure why though. I downloaded the maxim us inverted mod but I don't think that is making it all black and white. Anyone else have this issue? Oh plus I can't seem to get Facebook to sync up. Every time I add it nothing happens. Thanks in advance!

Is anyone else having problems with Astro? It's showing my files as "EMPTY"

First time it happened I freaked out! But Root Explorer sees it all. I emailed the developer, Metago, but haven't heard from them. Not sure if it's ROM-specific, 4.2 specific or just a bad Astro update.

What kernel are you using?

Edit: sorry, maybe you were meaning with the provided kernel and I misunderstood. Would you clarify? I haven't had a "normal" usage day since flashing yet to see how mine is doing.

Happened to me the first time I opened it. This was after I moved folders in Explorer. When I closed out, They all came after a few. I dunno what caused it in my case, but I rarely use that anyway. I'm on Pandora most of the time, other than literally 2 songs worth of Astro until I get coverage after leaving the house. Stupid dead spot.

Is there a 3G toggle that I've missed?

My battery is usually 60-65% at the end of the day, and I think having the phone on WiFi with Data and LTE turned off had a lot to do that.

With WiFi on and LTE off, but not being able to control 3G, I was down to about 50% today.

10 hrs 45 mins on battery with 2 hrs of screen time on zen kernel. Sorcery version 4.0. I like what I've got so far.

Edit: I just discovered that YouTube is missing. Anyone else have a missing YouTube?

Edit edit: meant to add that I luckily had a titanium backup of YouTube to restore.

Edit edit edit: also meant to add that it wouldn't install from market, and that's why I had to restore my backup.

I've got Youtube and it works fine.

Might seem obvious to others, but I didn't realize that all of your files (media, downloads, etc.) stay on the phone after flashing a new ROM. Probably because this was only my second time flashing a ROM, and the first time I had to unlock the bootloader, which wipes the phone. So it was a pleasant surprise to not have to load it back up from my desktop.
