I am currently running JBSourcery 2.3, and haven't tried any 4.2 ROMs yet. If I get the newest version of TWRP, will I still end up having to mess around with my directories, or should it all be taken care of automatically?
the statusbar mods, dont need a reboot. the systemui will reset itself automatically. The cobalt in particular I know works as Ive modified it in the last few days. Check your toggles, should look much different. For boot animations, you get a small note at the bottom of the screen that it has finished.. next reboot you should see the new animation. I just installed 1 as I typed this and it is working.
Slide across status bar.
hate giving that answer.. but when adding in a drop around the same time issues presented..hard to tell either way.. hoping re-rooting does it for you!!!
means you didnt opt in the 1st time you went into google now... Clear defaults to it and go into it again.. should allow you to opt inIs Google now not working fit anyone else? When I swipe up from the home button it just brings up a search bar. No cards or the cool little picture at the top. Any ideas?

which version # twrp?Spent all afternoon flashing Sourcery 4.0 Twice... Using the latest TWRP, downloaded last night. I wiped Dalvik, cache, system and Data (Factory Reset) All goes well except Google search FC each and every time I open Google Now, or speak to text on the messenger. What did I do wrong?
Downloads MD5 checked out ok both on Gapps and rom...am on the standard Gapps.
Restored back to 3.2 for now and that was a pain, restoring from the /0 folder thing sucks.
When you get the search screen, click on the settings button.. then click settings and turn on google nowYeah that's what I thought too and I did that before I even posted here lol. It still just brings up the search bar and nothing else.
i tried downloading the stock sourcerized kernel from sourcery tools, and it won't show up anywhere on my sd card. any ideas?
which version # twrp?
Did you look in sdcard/sourcerytools/kernals??
Data/media/0/sourcerytools/kernels and is named sourcery_stock_Kernel.zip. just downloaded fine for me
So I finally got it to work right for me, I think it was just the file downloads I had to do. OH, and a big thumbs up to Chief's page walkthrough. Only issue I had, was that I created a backup (and titanium update.zip) and then couldn't find them after flashing, because of the directory change. Ended up finally going into File Manager in recovery and moving them manually. It's definitely the one thing that makes it a pain; the folders aren't visable without going into Recovery. It'd be so much easier to merge folders and whatnot, if I could just see them all while hooked to the PC. Thankfully, the main things were just photos, so that wasn't too bad to move over.
Now it's time to play again!
OH! quick question: Whenever I wake the phone, there's a half second where I can see the white screen outlines of the neighboring screens. It won't let me get a screen with it that way, but it's almost like seeing ] [ on the outside edges. I thought I heard someone else mention it, but it's the only thing I wish I could change off-hand. Well that, I kinda do miss my old toggles, but there is so much to play with!
The 4.0 kernel is called Sourcerizer-12_12_2012.zip and is in the same folder.hmmm thanks for trying it. i'll try again and follow that exact folder path to find it. i thought i checked everywhere though...
Edit: that's the one refered to as "jbousroucery 4.0 sourcerizer kernel", right? thanks
