[Verizon] [rom]jbsourcery v5.4-lte[06/07/13] jb4.2.2 The Final Call

i wanna know this too b/c i have the same issue. anyone mind pm'ing me a solution to not bog down the thread with sdcard problems... ;-)
These are all symlinks to the real data. There isnt any extra space being utilized in these folders. Pick a folder you dont particularly care for and delete if from one of these locations and it should disappear in the others as well

If your screen A) rotates landscape to portrait or vice-versa, B) activate the lockscreen ring ..... the weather and calendar will go away. as it is waiting to be unlocked at that point

I'm going to come across as reallllllly oblivious on this one... but... huh?

lol. Perhaps I've missed more than I thought I had? I dunno, I'm running mine as it loaded out when I put the experimental, which might be it? Maybe I need to upgrade to release.

But yeah, so I have the default lockscreen circle to unlock and so forth. I don't have my screen rotating on lock or homescreens, so.. where would I go about disabling the lockscreen ring? I haven't stumbled across it yet in my looking. Or maybe I'm just missing something else altogether.

Pardon my ignorance :)

I'm going to have to find a different rom. I can't (won't?) keep wiping data every two weeks. :D

Nobody's forcing you to flash a new rom that often, lol:).

I personally wipe data with every single new rom I flash and as such, I quit the crack habit. Umm, I mean crack flash habit and opted for the philosophy that the next rom had to have some outstanding new feature and/or function to make me want to try it out. I'm starting to read some stuff about this one that tempts me, but for now I'm still on their version 3.2 and loving it.

when you have the lockscreen widgets set to open up maximized, it sets a small button at the bottom to activate the lockscreen circle.

1. Thanks TS...!!!

2. 4.2.1 is finally a worthy upgrade in my book b/c idk if its the rom or the kernel (Zen15) or the combo, but 4.4 is fluid and crisp. Good on battery and temps too!

3. Browser still freezes and crashes if pushed too far, cant watch postgame interviews from yesterday b/c browser has stopped responding. I think thats Google's issue tho. Anyone know a 'good' flash supporting browser?

4. I'll fill this one in later lol

My favorite is Boat Browser. It has lots of features and runs a little faster than the others IMO.

OK, finally got everything on my phone cleaned up and install 4.4 this morning and it is taking forever to reboot after installing 4.4 and 12-12-12 gapps. Still on splash screen after about 20 minutes. I know new installs take longer, but don't remember one taking this long. Is this normal?

Normal...no, 20 minutes is not normal. I have never had a phone take more than 2-3 minutes on the splash screen (I know some developers say it can take longer...but I've never seen it on any phone).

Did you do a "clean" install (wipe data, cache, dalvik cache, factory reset)? If not, I would recommend that. If you did, I would reboot into recovery, wipe cache, dalvik cache, system, and then reinstall the ROM and gapps.

Well, followed instructions and wiped dalvik, cache, and system but it must not have wiped everything because I did a battery pull from being stuck on splash screen and got it to boot up and once it finally did all my Widgets and icons were there. Going to do it again and add in factory reset. Instructions said system and that is what I choose in TWRP. Maybe they meant factory reset.

Went back did all that again and did a factory reset this time and now I can't find any of my backups, the new JB Sourcery ROM files...etc. Seems like nothing is there. File system must be screwed. Any suggestions as to how to access those files on my sdcard now? Not showing up in TWRP.

The only two directories showing up in TWRP when I go to "install" on the sdcard are Android and TWRP. And there is nothing in TWRP.

Sounds like you also formatted data in twrp. That option wipes everything from the phone.... Your only recourse is to use adb to push a rom/gapps to your phone
