[Verizon] [rom]jbsourcery v5.4-lte[06/07/13] jb4.2.2 The Final Call

Don't know if this will help, but here's what I've seen twice now.

I get a few texts and send reply back. At some point, after maybe five or so texts and replies, my live wallpaper (SimoSoft Project's Matrix live paper)seems to quit and is replaced with the blue JB Sourcery static wallpaper. When I go into the wallpaper settings, the preview for the live wall paper won't load. I can, however, change to another live wallpaper (KiietehFace's Koi live wall paper).

The next text I get, the phone reboots.

Haven't noticed any other problems.

mine would reboot while i was texting. happened after a few quick mssges

5.1 exp is back at irc sorry all about the false advertising. i had planned on working out any kinks but i got called into work and i need the bucks and we had a snag in that build. were good for testing now come and get it :)

Hopefully evrythig problamaitc in 5.0 is fixed but thus why experimetnal jsut cause i cant find it doesnt mean its perfect as weve all found out :)

i would avoid experimental build 5.1 like the plague, bugs o' plenty. just a heads up. i'm flashing back to aokp build 5 right now until an official sourcery build comes out

Every one has different experiences for sure.... But i dirty flashed it over 5.0 on 3-1 gapps....yea yea, i know, but i was lazy.... And it has been super smooth with no bugs for me. Lockscreen fixed too.

An update - I flashed the other standard GAAPs file (4.2 non-inverted) over the B1-DHO one I had installed previously. Not only does swipe now work on the stock keyboard, but I have the Photosphere feature still available on the camera (even though this file was supposed to have the AOSP camera without it). Also, some crazy voice says, "working" when I use panorama - that's a new one! Oh well, got me hanging, but I don't care!

If I could just do something about the now-crappy battery life I've been experiencing (with Leankernel no less). Phone sits on my desk all morning with a blank screen and I'm down 25% by lunchtime. Hittin' it hard today (no bluetooth, sync or wi-fi) and we'll see what happens.

Sounds like you have the 4.2 bug.

Turn off gps, reboot and see if it improves. If you want to be more scientific, install cpu spy and see if you're getting any deep sleep. (I was getting none until I did this.) :D

I often get at least 85% deep sleep during the day.

Quick dumb question: was really enjoying 5.1 and noticed today that the messaging app was 'white'. I have not installed inverted gapps because in the settings there is an option to modify "mms". I was using this method to adjust all the colors. There were a lot of options. It was in the first position in the settings of the conversation list. Now its gone gone gone...any ideas what happened to it? Reverted to prior messaging to see if it was part of 5.1 422 gapps from Eagle, but no go.

Thoughts?

Thanks Colchiro - I'll give it a shot and let you know tomorrow. Do I leave gps off or can I turn it back on after the restart?

I have a question:

I clean flashed 5.2 onto my son's Nexus (I love 5.2 BTW) and started a TiBU batch restore. EVERY SINGLE APP is prompting him, asking him permission to install it! Then he has to hit "Done" to get to the next app! He has 124 elements to restore and is only on about #30. We're pulling our hair out here trying to figure out why his does this and mine doesn't.

What setting is doing this and how do we change it?

THANKS!

According to Play, he does have a license key. However, I don't know if it's still in his internal memory. we went to play.google.com and push the license key to his phone: but it will not install until we are done with this stupid restore.

Thank you very much for leading us to the culprit. Hopefully this will be the last time we will have to do this :)

Under Settings-->Security look for and uncheck Verify apps. :D

No, it was the lack of a license key. As soon as we pushed it to the phone, TiBU detected it and problem solved! It will also now restore the call log and SMS/MMS, which are Pro options. Thanks folks, the mystery is solvified!
