If you are using ES explorer go to settings and go to root settings and check everything

Rom Toolbox Pro works well too (tools... root browser). Root Explorer was crashing the other day due to too many files in the folder and RTP worked great. Maybe the free version does as too?

Ok...I finally got it to work. I had to paste it into system and the copy and paste it into system\app. Then I rebooted. Didn't see it, then realized the permissions weren't right so I changed those and rebooted. Voila! Thanks for the help. I'm not sure why it wouldn't work like it's supposed to.

Weird parsing errors with black Pandora and Bboys black gapps.

Edit: was using Boys black gapps to try and get Google now functioning correctly. No go for me and went back to 515 and 3012013 gapps which was bulletproof f for me.

So in 5.1 and 5.1.6 I can't get voice input to work. It didn't do anything when I push the button. I know the voice search didn't work and force closes but is this related?

Odd, Copperwires... my voice search didn't work either. But after I flashed 5.1.6 and the Gapps, it's working again. You may want to dirty flash the ROM and Gapps again. Just wipe cache and Dalvik, and flash away :)

Chief, I did it dirty and now I have voice input back. I still don't have voice search though. I will admit that after I dirty flashed, it worked for about 2 seconds while I was thinking about something to say to it. LOL. Then it force closed.

I also wanted to report that my nav buttons go away while installing the honeycomb battery icon. I have to reboot to get out of the battery icon list.

You don't have to use zebra gapps with 5.1.6. I've cobbled together a mix and match gapps package I'm very happy with and it works on all versions of Sourcery. Trav624 has a gapps package that works and if you don't care about inverted, use the latest from goo.im. I believe the older Sourcery maximus/minimus will work too. Until zebra is fixed, they don't dirty flash successfully and some problems have been reported while others have no problems.

I'm just saying, don't let the gapps keep you from the best version of Sourcery to date!

Is your voice search working with your gapps? I will try Maximus when my battery charges back up.

Please remember the zebra gapps are labeled as experimental also, same as the rom.

That is the only problem i am seeing with them though at this time but a lot of work has been done ion these since than. we hope to have them perfected by release.

We release these to get a basic overall test and to see what reaction we get to certain changes.

the voice search problem is definatly related to the zebra gapps we are working on that.

also an update.. Im just too busy in real life right now to be able to get close to a real release i have certain requirements for this to happen adn im not close and dont have the time for the rest of the week either. so if you wnat something new and want to try out the experiemntal dont worry your not gonna have a final release drop on you this week.

on 5.1.6
1)we are aware of search not working when zebra gapps are used.

2) appears there may be a email problem with these gapps also.

3)aware fast charge toggle is not working

again please post at our site if you come acrsoo anything or suggestions or requests.
or at our bug reporting tool(no registration needed for that)

Thanks again for using sourcery

Thanks for the update Eagle.

As much as we salivate over the thought of a new release, real life must always take priority.

You do what you need to do, Eagle. When you're ready, we'll all still be here salivating :)

So I wiped everything and re-flashed 5.1 and used the gapps from the thread, I think it was uploaded 03/07?

Still having trouble with the power toggles. LTE toggle doesn't work, clicking it off, it stays lit but switches to 3g anyway, and toggle remains unresponsive. Reboot and it was off, I clicked it on and it lit up and 4g enabled but didn't recieve data.

On another occasion I turned off wifi (since the only way to send MMS it seems is to disable wifi and even then it has problems) and data went to 3g even though LTE toggle was on, I toggled it off and back on and then got no data. Changing settings from the data menu seems to work a little better, although I had problems with that too before my last wipe.

The biggest issue by far is the inability to send MMS, which is somewhat exacerbated by the toggle problems as well.

I never had any problems with anything at all on 4.5 and I have no idea what could be causing this :(

I used 5.1.6 and the nophotosphere Gapps and everything works splendidly. This "experimental" will most assuredly tide me over until the next full release :)

I bet you will change that when the next point release (maybe 5.1.7?) comes out? LOL! Flashaholics - that's what we are!

So what is the reason for Gapps without photosphere? Does everyone just hate it or what? Is the ROM camera better or something? I guess I missed that whole conversation about why we should like non-photosphere Gapps.

I must have missed that too..Photosphere is now a requirement for me. I have a ton of fun with it. Made a presentation of my laboratory for students with it. When they visited, everyone knew where and what everything was. No special camera or software needed...How cool is that! As for the Gapps..I use the official release. Everything works, which is what we all want...

AFAIK, this ROM uses the cm camera with HDR. Unfortunately, HDR and photosphere are mutually exclusive events (stat guys, see what I did there). Idk how to get p-sphere back...flash a gapps package with it, then delete from /system the camera you don't want???
