I know it's pretty cool being able to change the OP and title to reflect a new major release, but sometimes (rarely these days) there will be someone who wants to read the whole thread before posting. But could you please just start a new thread here for each major release? Please?

It would make it so much simpler for the other thread to die than for someone to have to read through pages about 1.0, the 'magic' additions, then 2.0, then 2.1 (especially since 2.1 ended up being such a dud), etc. to get caught up before posting a question.

Now I have had a burning question that got buried somewhere along the line in this thread and it is this:



Also, what would it take to get most if not all of the bootanimations up to the same screen size? I downloaded and installed the matrix one, since it used to my favorite on the OG Droid, but it's so tiny on the Gnex.

Don't worry bro you've got a quality product here that you should all be proud of. I didn't make it to 2.1 but I'm sure even that was better than most ROMs out there

I was not passing judgement on your ROM based on 2.1. I'm sorry you got that impression out of everything else I said. This is really the only ROM I've used so far, besides BAMF for a few hours.

Changed fonts last night and after the reboot, all my music was missing from the Google Play app. Now gotta re-download all of it :/

Anyone else experience this?
 
As for renaming the thread, or re-making for other versions, I'd say instead, perhaps just update the Original Post with a table of contents, sorta. Something like:


Versions start:
Page 1 - V1
Page 8 - V 2.0
Page 11 - V2.1
Page 15 - V2.2

(Those aren't accurate, don't hold me to it!) But something like that would at least let people looking at the original post, know what page the discussion starts for each version. Plus also lets people know where to go BACK to for older discussions for each particular release.

Very strange, haven't had that happen. Is the music still on your device? Maybe a .nomedia snuck in somewhere? Or see if you can download another player and see if you can see them there already?

EDIT: Didn't think about your sync'd music. I was thinking local music stored on your device. :)

only possbile connection would be if it removed your google account which could be fixed by readding the account this does happen at times when the system is pissed off at us for changing it.

Other than that the fonts dont touch sdcard so no way it could delete your music.
 
VOICE DIALER.......--ok folks its the gapps. didnt think to try that)

rom and old 7/26 gapps it works fine.

will figure it out but just get the old 7.26 gapps from gooo for now and it will work.

Thanks for investigating. I use voice dialer daily.

EDIT: I had to re-install the ROM to get voice dialer working with the old gapps. Just applying the gapps didn't help.

Yeah sorry didnt mention that. :)

ill track it down and get the gapps fixed. jsut the real work thing gets in the way.

Understood. I work from home 3 days/week. There are plenty of things I'd rather be doing when working from home, but they actually expect me to work when working from home.

Currently running an older version of Lean. To run the latest, what are the exact steps again? Do I need to clear cache or dalvik or blah blah? :) Thank you in advance.
 
Can anyone take a screenshot using the volume and power buttons method? It's not working for me and unfortunately hitting just the power button to bring up the power menu, where there is a screenshot option, closes the menu of what I am trying to capture.
 
long press the volume down and power button.....

Or, you can also add screenshot as a longpress of any of the nav buttons
