[Verizon] [rom]jbsourcery v5.4-lte[06/07/13] jb4.2.2 The Final Call

I stepped away from Sourcery for a few days. Mistake. Long story, sufficeth to say I'm back on the good stuff. Just fresh loaded 2.3.6 with inverted gapps and gmail as well as the messaging fix. Applied all my usual mods and I'm having zero issues of any kind. I haven't messed much with the nav transparency mainly because I use black backgrounds on most everything. This is running like a stable IMO.

Welcome back. anything you see in your adventures that we need to look at to add?

I reverted my nandroid back to 2.3, i did a clean install of 2.3.6 and had a random reboot. In sure it was nothing serious, but I'm out of town and don't want to risk anything...I'll try again either tonight or when i get home..loved the options the new update has!

Ok eagle...my fault on that random reboot...i think. I am two for two re creating it...i have my back nav button set up to kill app on long press...in home screen....long press it, with nothing to "kill" it reboots my phone

Along with custom LED setup, I'd love to be able to set custom vibration for events as well. Loving this ROM as a brand new root/rom installer.

Other than fixing the Bluetooth issue at hand, I can think of a couple of things on the JBS Wish List:

Status bar/pull down text color adjustment
Transparency on the nav bar for LIVE wallpapers

:)

Oh BTW: I flashed the add-on Mods (like camera effects, video editor, etc). Where IS this stuff? I turned on the camera, went to video, tried the app drawer... how exactly do I get to these add-ons? Thanks

video editor.apk is called movie editor in app drawer the other camera effects are in the camera app.

the thinkfree just doesnt show up and im told doesnt work just not sure why. still looking into that.

the nav bar transparency isnt even working right on anything. its something we have been trying but just cant make it work as of yet. may never be able to make it work will leave as experimental as we work on it but once we determine failure it will be removed.

Is that Movie Studio?

So I can't seem to find a ROM that has given me great battery life with great customization yet. My current setup, the LiquidSmooth RC3 has gotten me all the customizations I want, but battery life is a little subpar. AffinitySERIES gave me great battery life, but not the greatest customizations. Xenon gave me customization but had a lot of reboots. JBSourcery 1.0 had a few hiccups for me, but it's hard to ignore the success this ROM is having so I'm currently backing up my system and gonna see if 2.3.6 is good to go.

I've always believed the JBSourcery team is the most responsive and open to suggestions, so I'm glad to be back.

welcome back please remember that 2.3.6 is still in beta.
But is still much better and feature rich than 1.0 that was early and alot of kinks have been worked out since than.
let us know as we are working hard to finalize the next release.
While we are feature complete we are still working on some stuff that we hope you'll all like. to enhance the Sourcery experience.

Most definitely I tend to stick with builds for a while so everything settles down before I start complaining :p

One question though, am I missing something or am I not able to center the lockscreen weather and clock and stuff?

EDIT: Nevermind. Saw it's integrated with the lockring settings =)

Since you mentioned it, I have to say, I really like(d) the quick message feature in Cyanogenmod, which allows the user to reply to SMS/MMS,without having to launch the messaging application. There are apps which produce the same pop-up functionality, but it's nice and incredibly functional, to be able to take advantage of the JB expanded notifications.

Unfortunately, any attempt to install it as a system app on JBS, leads to a crash. :(

is there a way to get an sms pop-up without having to download a third party app like handscent or something? simliar to what an iphone has when they receive a message.
