[Verizon] [rom]jbsourcery v5.4-lte[06/07/13] jb4.2.2 The Final Call

Looks like the inverted Gapps MD5 for 3.0 matches the 2.5.5 MD5. I assume it's cool to use the same one, then?

EDIT: Here's another one for you: AOKP has an app on the market called "AOKP Backup". I bought it when I was a sold-out AOKP fan, but now I'm a sold-out JBSourcery fan. Anyway: does that not show that backing up system settings in a ROM is possible? Ringtones, Sounds, LWP, all the little things that we have to set back up with a full wipe and flash ... what an AWESOME feature that would be to have a Sourcery Backup app! ;)

And of course, we know you guys have PLENTY of time to create one :p

+1. It just keeps getting better with more options to customize. Its become so stable you guys might have to throw in some booby traps here and there to give us something to complain about. :D

Just thought about something, might be me being stupid....If I install new gapps I need to deselect those apps while in titanium backup huh?

Kinfolk, before I do a full wipe here's what I do (other than a nandroid backup):

In Titanium Backup, back up all user apps AND system data. All of it.

Create an "update.zip" in the menu. Change it to "TitaniumBackup5.6.0.zip" or whatever.

Make an Apex Launcher backup of homescreens (IF you use that launcher).

Recovery: wipe data, cache, Dalvik and system. Flash ROM & Gapps and reboot system.

On the other side of the wipe, DO NOT sign in to Google yet. Get to the homescreen and reboot into recovery. Install the Titanium Backup zip you created - this installs the app in your app drawer without signing into Play. Reboot system.

At the homescreen, open Titanium Backup and "Restore missing apps and all system data". Tap "Let me choose myself" and de-select EVERYTHING.

You can select your user apps. And the following system elements ONLY:

Accounts
Bluetooth Pairings IF you have any
Call Log
Clock (ALARMS) IF you have any
Messages (SMS & MMS)
News & Weather (only if you USE that widget)
Wallpaper
Wifi Access Points (green and yellow ones) IF you have any

And NO OTHERS.

Reboot the phone so the information "takes" and you can then verify that your accounts are in place and syncing the right stuff. Sign into Play and un-check that STUPID auto-add widgets.

If you use Apex Launcher, you may or may not have to restore your homescreens. You will have to restore your widgets.

Done! No user data lost at all.

Hope this helps. I know this list of system elements is debatable, but I used it flashing JBSourcery 3.0 this morning and had no problem with it :)

All
the MMS issue sweaty spoke of is only on MMS, it has the word Null show overtop the senders name..... sms has no issue.

We are able to recreate so hopefully can fix it shortly.

Curious.

I just sent myself an MMS message from my wife's Galaxy S3 and got no "Null".

What are the circumstances surrounding this? I can't duplicate it.

EDIT: Nevermind... I was trying it in Handcent. Messaging app does read NULL.

Gulf War Syndrome strikes again

Can we get this pinned to the top of the board here? Maybe everyone else knew all of this, but, I end up redoing all of my accounts every time. You just enabled me to flash more... not sure if that's a good thing or not...

Welcome to crack status :D

It's ok, we have crack! =)

Downloaded 3.0 was just bout to flash when I read the MMS bug thing guess I'm wait in more to jump from 2.3 XD. Team sourcery once again is amazing thanks for all the hard work

I haven't fully verified this yet but if you look at the newer versions of TiBu, there are several items in the backup list that have a Titanium icon by them. They are very similar to the list that Chief provided plus a few others. A person may be able to restore each of those items. If so, it'd make it a no brainer. I've been threatening to try it but I keep forgetting, next clean rom flash I'll give it a go and see what happens.

Have the MMS bug here as well but also noticed something else. When I click "settings", and any linl within, the nav bar icons flash bright to dim over and over. No big deal and it stops once I get back to the home screen but just wanted to see if it was just mine.

Also, I applied the CM circle battery mod which is cool but I also am using the Cobalt status bar icons which is making the battery icon really small. It appears to be just the CM circle as other battery icons remain regular size. Is there a way to increase the size so I can read it better?

Another absolutely incredible ROM by the Sourcery team! I tried some other ROMS last week waiting for Sourcery's 4.1.2 to drop and, while good, nothing even comes close to JBSourcery!
