[Verizon] [rom]jbsourcery v5.4-lte[06/07/13] jb4.2.2 The Final Call

Keyboard is pretty damn smart. I honestly find it snappier than swipe or any of the other ones iced tried before. And that's saying a lot because in not a fan of the whole swipe idea.

Only complaint IS that I lost the scroll by volume button functionality.

Thanks for the additional Mods, Developers! LOVE the camera app! :D

However, I am officially NOT a fan of the 4.2 Deskclock. That HUGE hour number and dim minute number is distracting at best... annoying at worst. I can kinda read the clock without it helping me know what the hour is.

Hopefully that will get tweaked by Google soon...

I love me some swype beta....gonna load this new KB up!!! Camera is nice, my first sphere had lines...needs some getting used to!

Anyone else have any issues installing any of the 4.2 goodies? I tried loading the combo pack last night, asked me how I wanted to install, let it do it via recovery. Goes to the Red ! screen for a few, reboots, and nothing looks any different, so I'm guessing it's just not working well for me...Should I just install the APK separately when I get home? Or is there another trick to installing through the Tool MODS?

Not that it's a HUGE thing to me, since I love my swype already, doubt I'd do much with photosphere. But curious on the clock, and wondering what other camera tweaks it adds to play with.

Kinda what I was thinking. I'll try when I get home in a couple hours and see if that goes well. Gonna go toy with some videos and see what I can expect when I get it working lol.

over on xda, droidlife and a couple others, multiple reports of heating building up...

Not been making my phone any warmer than usual. No FC problems yet. I'll know more tomorrow and will report back..grand kids coming to visit...yes I said grand kids!:)

Ah yes. I tried a clean install of 3.1 with the standard gapps package, hoping I could then go forward with the inverted gapps package, but, after the automatic restore of my apps with this method, still my LED is broken. It worked just fine with JBS 2.4 so I have now restored to that, for now.

dont know what you mean by its broken...

Sorry, I mean that the LED notifications don't work as programmed. In lightflow, I have gmail set to flash green, but if at all it will flash blue. If I hand off control to the rom's LED control, it _might_ work for a while, but not stick after a reboot.

And yes, I reboot often as I have a spare battery/charger. Never believed in wasting that port for charging on any phone. It's for better stuff.

Same thing is happening for me. I love light glow but it stopped working for gmail so I use the built in one now. It is hit or miss whether it works either. Light flow worked great in 3.0

OK, sorry to quote everything, but do so to keep all the background info alive.

So while back on 2.4, I flashed a modded version of the inverted gapps for 3.1; by modded I mean everything inverted, but the non-inverted gmail.apk added back in with the inverted one deleted. Well again it 'broke' lightflow as described above. So I then just deleted the gmail.apk and reinstalled it via market. Then everything was good.

So I thought, OK, let me try this on 3.1 by restoring my 3.1 backup and see if I can fix it the same way, since that was the same gapps package I used. Nope. Deleting gmail.apk, rebooting, then installing it via market, rebooting didn't get it fixed as I would like. Didn't work. So I was hoping that it _might_ have been a fluke with the non-inverted gmail.apk and that the regular gmail install via market would fix (as it did in 2.4) but it did not.

This is how much testing I have done to see why gmail in 3.1 and lightflow don't like each other as much as they used to. And as you can see, I am not the only one reporting this issue.

Can you nice dev's try to replicate, and/or see what's going on, please? Purty please?

TIA

It is not working right now on version 3.1. Sometimes it works some times it doesn't. And 3.1 does not play well with light flow where as 3.0 worked flawlessly.

I'm not doubting you, it just doesn't make sense to me.
I could understand it if it was an app that ran for long periods of time like a web browser, video or music player.

AFAIK Light Flow has some compatibility issues with JB. Not a rom specific issue but more of a optimization issue. Apparently its a hit and miss for many users.

Not discounting your issue and will try to resolve.. but seems to be an issue across several roms and not just Sourcery...
