[Verizon] [rom]jbsourcery v5.4-lte[06/07/13] jb4.2.2 The Final Call

WHOOT! Up & running on 3.2 with a clean flash and it is NICE. You guys knocked it out of the park again - and it's SO nice to have the 4.1 deskclock back on the phone instead of that hideous 4.2 clock! :)

Okay: I tried the new app/data TiBU zip method of backup & restore.

I do not like it, Sam I am.

First of all, flashing it takes awhile as Recovery extracts the apps into the app drawer. Then once you get to the home screen, the phone is practically useless* while TiBU restores the data. It takes just as long - if not LONGER - than the old way of doing things. And system data elements like SMS/MMS and call log will not restore via the method... so I had to do the TiBU restore for those anyway.

Long story short: a nice feature to have, but it's going to be another TiBU bell & whistle that I'll likely never use.

* - "Useless" meaning that you really can't use any apps yet, as the data is still being written to them. You CAN make calls and send texts. Remember that any texts or calls you send/receive will be overwritten with the SMS/MMS & call log backup.

Well done Team Sourcery - can't wait to see the changelog to see what's new :D

nice work on 3.2. got it with popcorn kernel 11.8, it's more responsive and the screen is brighter. for some reason the trinity kernels don't allow for high levels of brightness, and this amoled screen is hard enough to see in the sunlight lol

thanks again, good job :)

there's weather in the status bar now, missed that feature from the ics roms :D

Looking good here. I haven't had time to weed through everything yet but up and running with a full wipe.

Also, an update to a previous promise to try restoring all the yellow items in Titanium. So far, so good. Been up and running for a few hours now without a hiccup.

So I tried the new TiBU feature and when it came back to the home screen it stated that it was restoring the data, problem is it never did. It stated it did, but none of my apps had data restored. I think they still have some work to do for it.

BTW, 3.2 is running smooth with no problems so far...now if we could get an inverted 4.2 Gapps I'd be in heaven! Great work guys!

How likely am I to dork something up if I uninstall apex launcher with Ti backup since I don't use it?

I use nova launcher since I bought it for 25 cents. I have uninstalled apex from the beginning and never used it. As long as you use another launcher you will be fine.

Here's something I'd LOVE to see in this ROM. It is really just an extension of the calendar on the lock screen. Instead of scrolling multiple appointments why not just list them and allow the user to specify how many items to show at a time?
