[Verizon] [rom]jbsourcery v5.4-lte[06/07/13] jb4.2.2 The Final Call

Under General settings there should be an option to turn on auto fit. This allows you to pinch and zoom

Edit..just checked and my gmail is version 4.2. I am using Roman's gapps from goo manager.

Under "About Gmail" says I have Version 4.2-478. There is no auto fit option under general settings. Using the gapps linked in the OP, and Sourcery 3.2.

???

Edit. Apparently doesn't matter. I now have pinch to zoom. When the heck did that happen???? LOL

That is a rumor.. just a rumor.. dont listen to it... or you may find yourself on a 4.2.1 Sourcerized rom... oops. did I just say that?

Hey TDVaughn, my MD5 is NOT a match.

I'm getting

2a1bdbec9aecb3ab16f2a88b774ba681

I will download again, but can you please verify the MD5 for me on the source end? :)

Thanks!

EDIT: NVM, bad download... got it the 2nd time WHEW
Glad I didn't try & flash it! :o

Hey Chief, thanks for updating your guide for 4.2. I would like to add that if you want to preserve your call log, messages, bookmarks and sms you can use TiBu to do that. Instead of hitting the save/restore options icon, select the settings three dots. Within that menu, select backup to xml and you can create a backup which you can restore.

The systems settings like ringtones etc, can't be backed up but that is a small price to pay for 4.2...here I go too.

Thanks again,

do you guys have a truly black wallpaper, im looking for one that is absolute black so the screen doesnt even light up those pixels... anyone...?

Just take a picture with your thumb over the camera lens and use that as your wall paper.

in the wallpaper section, choose the option "disappearing wallpaper" and it will be black..

The test is only in IRC. go there and you will be able to download...

Thanks for the tip - I hadn't bothered with the .xml route before... I will give it a try and incorporate it if it works out :)

Thanks for your reminder doc for flashing Chief, it is a great checklist to go by. Two questions for you, I just downloaded 4.2 and gapps from IRC. Check sums were wrong on first two downloads of 4.2, but third try got it (great reminder to everyone to do btw). First, any bugs so far for you? Second, I noticed in your checklist, no mention of clearing settings in Wallet. I assume this is something we still need to do?

Definitely CHECK YOUR MD5s!

So far the only hiccup I've had is Apex Launcher says it stopped, but it still works. I experimented and *GASP* restored call log & SMS/MMS from TiBU... and it worked! Manually set up my accounts and settings, though. I think the newer versions of Wallet don't require wiping data: at least, that's my experience.

So far, so good!

EDIT: First "bug" -

I selected Zenith Series By arzbhatia Soft Keys in BLUE. They're WHITE.

Copacetic, I want to APOLOGIZE profusely for messing up your post. I hit "Edit" instead of "Quote" and started typing away :p

So this post appears to come from you (first part) while I wrote the response (second part). Even Mods aren't infallible... especially me

EDIT: After a reboot Apex has settled in. No further issues with it :)

Soft key colors.... Go into nav bar settings and change the color code to 8 zeros... Or dry your own color as desired

Tdevaughn, this ROM is simply outstanding! :D
Coming from PA, it's so gratifying to have your great mods back.
Thanks again and keep up the great work!

Edit: No noticeable bugs yet, but unlike Chief, I'm using Nova.

PERFECT! :D

Now I need to find a 4.2-friendly kernel that supports fastcharge. No offense Team Sourcery, but that's kind of a necessary feature for me these days... charge & run :)

Got many options for you in our tool box... Many people wanted a stock kernel, so we have stock at boot and load anything you want after. Did test all the new kernels to make sure they boot
