[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

I purchased Volume+ back in December 2011 two weeks after having the GNex and have been using it since. :)

I have Volume+ also, but never has seemed to make an ounce of difference...everything is still low. Care to share exactly how you are using it? Maybe I am missing a step or something somewhere and don't have it setup or working right.

I would agree that 6.0 is very smooth...but I am having the Phone Idle battery drain issue again on this build...clean install...not sure what's happening. Hoping for a 6.1 soon....

So im experiencing a new bug. I thought it was due to the fast keys and power menu mods. But turns out its something different.

I bought 2 extended Batteries and sometimes instead of plugging in my phone I just swap out batteries. Recently after trading out batts. Ive been experiening long boot up times. Then after boot about 10-15 min it says System UI has stopped then no fast keys(home recents and back)

Fixed permisisions, fresh install always

Does the circle battery mod still work with the newer versions of this ROM? I haven't been on this ROM since 3.8  but back now and just curious if it still works?

UPDATE: Yep, it works, for those that want to know...just flashed it :)

REQUEST: I really wished we could get DSP Manager added back into this ROM.

Check jakeday's mods folded for the DSP to add back in:

Edit: too many people were having issues with it, when it was included, or they wanted to use something different so its available as a mod instead.

I am using the purchased version of Volume + set at level 10. The free version can only go to level 7.

Make sure you grant Volume+ permission with Superuser.

Yep, it has permission and I have the purchased version also. Is there anything else you have to do to make it work other than just running it and setting the settings inside Volume+?

I would also add that you should also make sure that in Settings>Sound Effects that you have salected Volume+ as well.

Thanks! That is the other part I was looking for :)

Hey, activity from jbdan! How's the sleep ;)

I am always behind on this now, on 6.0.1. Everything seems pretty smooth. I wonder if ryan and I are the only ones still running this ;)

Welcome back...ish.....been there done that with the sleep....and you will find time for yourselves...just takes a learning curve.
I still like this ROM...running very smooth!!!!

I'm running Jelly Bean liquid-toro and I am using PopcornKernel v-11.6. It's the best kernel that I've ever used. EVER. I have been getting 28-30 hours per charge. Today I have been mostly on 3G/4G and am at 77% remaining. Wow.

Just a heads up from the Dev, Jakeday:

Jelly Belly 6.2 is out now. This should be treated as a pre-milestone release.

Just to note, every major release (1.x, 2.x, etc) is a fresh start of the build and is subject to bugs. It takes a few minor releases (1.1, 1.2, etc) to fix these bugs. This is both because of aosp changes as well as things I missed from the rebuild. Every sub-build (1.1.1) is to fix issues in a release. Occasionally a milestone is reached, in which case no more releases are seen in that major version (1.9, 2.6, 3.9.1, 4.4, 5.6 so far).

As for how this is "Pure AOSP" with so many fixes and tweaks is both due to the above (how I rebuild) and combining things from stock (such as sound effects, calendar colors, etc). The "butter" is mostly Google's own Project Butter changes in the OS, plus tweaks that I apply to make things smoother, without changing the feature set with aosp.

Hope that clears up a few things.

Maybe this thread/flavor would get more play if the title was updated. it still says "Jelly Belly v5.1 (7/30)"... I know jbdan is busy.. can anyone else change it. Peeps might think the flavor is stale.. no pun
