[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

Battery life is notoriously terrible on Jelly Bean. Of all the ROMs and kernels I've tried since JB, I haven't had one come close to what I used to get on ICS with AOKP + LeanKernel. If you're really serious about battery life, start disabling things like Google Now that are always checking for things to show you. Turn off sync for whatever you don't need (or at least slow down the sync frequency).
I'd 100% agree. Google Now has been the biggest culprit for poor battery life on my device, as I've tested to verify numerous times. Limiting the amount of synced services helps, but wooo, GNow causes an insane amount of wakelocks and CPU awake time, while just sitting overnight.

How's the stability with this ROM? CNA pretty much said it will be a long while before his next release hits, BB is taking a while and I have that 4.2 itch. Features aren't that crucial, as long as it's a stable build.

Great so far. I just installed this latest release last night.

Loved the fact that it did the automatic google restore.

I will post more later today after I have had a chance to use my phone.

Working great for me. I added lean kernel v5.0rc3 and a couple of inverted apps... Stable, very smooth and exceptionally sweet for me!!!
The only thing I was missing was toggles, so I use Notification Toggles, an app from GPlay.
I continue to come back to this ROM!

Upgraded to 10.0 with job radios and now it takes forever to get hips lock. Should I re flash ROM or radios? Thanks fort the help!

You can also try clearing data from the Maps app in your settings and then try again. In addition, some people have had good luck with GPS Status app from GPlay.
Good luck!

Doing my first mod now. Until now I have only flashes the rom and gapps Any tips before I start? Thank you.

Personally whenever adding a mod or a change to this ROM, I boot to recovery, wipe dalvik, install mods, wipe dalvik and then Fix Permissions. Then reboot.
If the mod took.. Then you are golden. If there are issues you can go back to recovery wipe dalvik, wipe cache then install the rom and Gapps again... Reboot.
Start again with a different mod.

Also, I would recommend that everyone is updated on their CWM recovery and TWRP versions... Since 4.2 changed the file systems around... Just please verify you are running the most current versions!

Hi Ryan. There are 5 lean kernel files listed. See below. Which one did you use? Thank you.

Anyone knows what the difference between these lean kernels is and which one I should use? They are all dated 11/23

Twins,

The 4 series is for jelly bean 4.1.x.

The 5 series is for jelly bean 4.2.x.

Ryan and I are using 5.0exp1. I use 230...he may use 180. This refers to the clock speed minimum.

Let me know if you have any questions.
