[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

Nope, still not going into deep sleep. I did all the options on the first page but nothing seems to work. In a 10 min span i'm only getting around 30% deep sleep.

Dang...:confused:sorry to hear that. Have you tried the uninstall maps trick with TiBu then go to market and download it? You just uninstall maps with Titanium, reboot, then go to play store/marklet and rednld it

"2.5 will have the following:

volume tweak (in call and - maybe - notifications, not tied to dsp manager stuff)
gps tweak (just to gps.conf, should allow quicker locks for those having slow initial locks)
location services working properly (required for google now services that run and way have caused wake locks)

This is all I've done so far, and I have a few things more planned. Since these are kinda minor, I won't be releasing 2.5 tonight."
Oh boy this looks mighty, if he's got the volume boosted. Will bring many who've been on the fence because of this one feature. I've really put 2.4 through the ringer and it has yet to hiccup on me. As much as I am an aokp'r I can't come down off this Jelly mountain. It's just too good :D

EDIT: 2.5 is up as of 1:30PM EST via IRC if you've joined jakeday and counterparts

I flashed 2 nights ago and so far so good...except tethering. Wifi Tether no longer works. My laptop can't find the SSID. I've tried all channels and reinstalling. I turned on the built in tethering option. I can connect to it but no internet connection. Any ideas?

It's an odd thing. It works perfect for me and many others yet some, including you, have issues with it. You might want to just wait it out a little more and see if it is fixed for you in 2.5 which should drop soon.

Haha, looks like I have perfect timing to check in. Probably will wait till tomorrow to flash, but sounds good.

Thanks for the quick response. I think I have it fixed now. I uninstalled wifi tether, rebooted, and then turned on the stock wifi hotspot and it is working. I found this at rootzwiki. Now to find a good toggle widget.

No problem. I didn't know you were trying a 3rd party tether app. The built-in tether has worked for me since v1.6

trying that now, will report back

Yeah I guess I didn't mention that. When you said 2.5 would be dropped soon, you weren't kidding. What is the difference between this and 2.4?

Btw 2.5 addresses deep sleep you might wanna try that. :)
Just saw that 2.5 was released, I'll install later. Whats the difference between a clean and dirty wipe?

And no change after uninstalling and reinstalling maps.

Clean is wiping your phone completely (sans sdcard) so you have to reinstall apps and re-setup your phone settings. Dirty leaves apps and settings intact.

People are dirty flashing 2.5 over 2.4 and having success it is up to you.

People are also saying deep sleep after a reboot is fixed w/o having to do any work-arounds

So I've been away from the JB flashing ever since 1.2 (decades ago! :-P) and I'm curious, does it seem like it's becoming more and more stable in terms of general usage? I shied away from JB after my contacts weren't loading and Lightflow was acting up. Anyone know if these issues have been fixed? I need Lightflow when I'm at work but I got a full day of nothing ahead of me, so I may go flash happy unless someone tells me to wait for source. Thanks!

BTW, I'm on LiquidSmooth 1.4 right now and can see myself missing all the customization after a few days lol

If you're going to miss the cutomizations over Jelly Bean's advantages, then I suggest you stay on ICS until AOSP is released. No doubt devs will grab it and create dreamy custom ROMs! But Jake has already stated that he's keeping Jelly Belly as close to stock as possible.

To answer your question about stability, YES. It's an amazing ROM! I don't know if you want to attempt a dirty flash coming all the way from 1.2... you might want to MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP, TiBU backup and wipe it all.

Can't answer the LightFlow question, as I don't use it.

Yea that's what I'm thinking too. I'd rather stick with LS since I know what I have and I know what I'll miss, but having the latest and greatest is a lot to fight off lol. If I was still running JB 1.2 then I'd definitely dirty flash it right away, but seeing as how I'm on LS 1.4 right now, it's too much work if I think I'd flash back.

How is JB as a daily driver though?

I am having a devil of a time copying my TiBU backup to the PC. Only 4 things out of 238 want to copy over!

EDIT: Nevertheless, nandroid in progress...
