[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

I love the full screen mod. Almost didn't go to jelly bean because I had used liquids ROM and hadn't had nav buttons since last December. So glad to have the full screen again.

Sorry if this has been asked in this thread so far (don't have enough time to go through it all :p), but do any JB ROMs so far support fast USB charge yet? It's the only feature keeping me from leaving liquid 1.5 now.

TIA :)

Not sure. But I'm willing to bet that once you experience Jelly Bean, you won't want to go back to ICS just for fast charge! No doubt if it's not available yet, it will be soon. Someone else will have to talk to this subject, as I don't use it.

Are there any disadvantages to running lean kernel?

I found no disadvantages to Lean, but frankly, I found no advantages either. The stock Linaro kernel runs just as well, just as fast, and battery life is equivalent. Try it... if you don't like it, reflash the ROM and gapps and you're back to the stock kernel :)

I was missing that too...and just added Francos paid app recently...here is the link...

Only thing I did not like about the AOKP fast charge is that it disabled the USB connection to my computer while charging, but with this one...woo hoo!! I leave it checked and it connects via USB fine and fast charged...I did notice a time difference during the charge as well as the phone did not get hot!!
Please note: the stock Franco kernel on this ROM does not support fast charge nor color/gamma changes...so you would have to select and flash a different kernel. I use lean kernel experimentals, which have those options built in

if you flash lean kernel and lean tweaks you can turn on usb fast charge and also do a lot more tweaking

Great answer! Now where is this Lean Tweaks thing of which you speak?

I noticed that my phone had unused frequency slots up to 1650MHz, and no idea how to activate the things. I suppose that would help greatly!

Google search FC's when I try to interact with the results. For example, I search for "convert 5 kilometers to miles." The results pop right up and gives me the option to adjust the number of miles or kilometers. But as soon as I touch either the miles or kilometers, it FC's.

Clean flashed 3.5 + 7/14 GApps and still having this issue. Any ideas? It's bugging me...

I have no idea: I just did the exact same thing - 5 miles to kilometers - and it lets me enter numbers all day long.

After flashing gapps, did you fix permissions before rebooting? And (hopefully) did NOT flash mods or kernels in the same recovery session?

It FCs on me too.

Cheif, I can enter numbers too but when I try to use the arrows to adjust the numbers it will FC. Try that on yours.

Edit: I did a clean flash 3.4 to 3.5, fixed permissions, and I'm not running any mods tweaks.

FC for me too, fine when just entering a number

edit: make sure you submit a report and a little info, might help get it fixed...perhaps chief could mention it in the rootz thread

NVM it fc on me too when trying to adjust the number wit the arrows.

Maybe this is something so few people use (I know I wouldn't have unless this came up) that it's just not listed as a known bug yet. Might be worth mentioning, or not idk, to JD

I fixed permissions while in the original recovery session when I flashed 3.5 and GApps, then again after I restored all my apps. No mods installed.

Yeah, that force closed it.

Okay, so I know what NOT to do! :p

Hooray it's happening to other people! I thought my phone was going crazy. I too can enter numbers in manually, but get the FC when I hit the arrows. Not a huge deal, just glad to have discovered a bug! :D

With the help of ryancmatchett I was able to get inverted gmail installed. I really like the black theme. It definitely works!
