[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

I have achieved ROM nirvana. Nav Lady speaks fine... Even says the street names. I have found nothing wrong with this ROM, but will continue to put it through its paces. Next test when I get home is wireless tethering.

Jump in, folks: if you're waiting for a ROM to flash, wait no longer! :D

I'm so close to that..but until Play Movies gets fixed, nope. No peace.

Sorry it took so long for me to check...but it works fine for me. Streaming and purchased item show up. No flaws for me....streams both my own movies taken with Nexy as well as 2 that I have purchased. Downloading a new purchase now...will see when its done how it streams.
I am on WiFi at home, but will check 4g as well...are you running on 3g or WiFi? I will also send the movie to my TV, and see how it does...will update shortly.

WiFi. Can't figure out why it wouldn't be working for me :( you're running 3.5+latest Gapps?
 
Okay. Wireless tether works brilliantly. Had it on about 10 minutes and no drops.

I can't speak to the Play Movies issue, as I don't use it. I use DVD Catalyst and just rip DVDs to my phone. Now that you can BUY the movies, though, instead of just renting them for a short time (too short for me), I may try it out :)

Does it force close? Doesn't it actually use YouTube for streaming? Any chance you could have an older version? I know I had some flukey things happen with various Google apps missing even after I flashed the Gapps package. Also, have you tried clearing cache on the play movies app?

It doesn't force close, but I get an error message when trying to either stream or save a movie for offline use. I tried clearing cache and data, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling. I haven't tried clearing the YouTube app though...perhaps I'll give that a shot.

Weird....so an update on mine. Yes 3.5 jelly and the 714 gapps. Streams with no hesitation on WiFi and 4g....plus can save for offline...and streams perfect to my Samsung blue ray using imediashare free....

I appreciate it. I'm completely out of ideas. I've tried everything I can possibly think of
 
Just an observation...Nova Launcher is much smoother than Apex. I know some people like one over the other. I prefer Apex but Nova just runs so much better on JB. Switch all animation settings to fast.

I have opened it. I played around with it a little. Once I had Pandora playing in the background and I couldn't really tell a difference. Then I tried it with Google Music and I could definitely tell it was changing the output.

I went into sound settings like ryan mentioned and enabled it that way. It was on MusicFX by default.

Still...DPSManager does not have any affect on Pandora.

jbdan, are you sure it affects pandora when you change the EQ presets?
 
did a clean install to 3.5 since i had the time and had a couple minor issues and was still dirty back to pre-aosp

everything working great so far, still a couple things to test

full screen mod works fine still on 3.5 and circle battery still works

Not sure...but I'm using the 3.4 version of willyjay's white zenith and it works really well.

Anyone tried any kernels optimized for 4.1.1 that they are really fond of. Stock works really well but I'm always up for something better :)
 
I can't help you there, Dark Cyber. I'm using Willjay's mod, which has the 1% mod, fast soft keys and spacey modified soft keys all in one. I can vouch for that one... but not the old one.

Apparently there is a licensing issue with the ROM that's blocking Play Movies. Not sure what the fix is on that one, except the dev & folks in Rootz are aware of it.

I'm running Franco's and just compared my Gnex to the S3 yesterday at the VZW store and my non-overclocked GNex was zippier than the S3. So, Franco's seems to add so ump! to it :D

I flashed Lean Kernel this morning after flashing 3.5 and looking good so far. I used Lean exclusively on AOKP builds and have been getting great battery life and have only used the stable versions.

Yea, I flashed gapps 7/14 and I restored my apps (not system data tho)

Thanks. It doesn't make much sense to me, especially considering it works for ryancmatchett and he's on the exact same setup as me... so maybe it's only me :(
