[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

I still have not had any real issues with this ROM. It seems to me that if you keep at as close to stock without really messing with anything major via mods/kernels/apps, you should be safe. If it doesn't work all that great with your tweaks then try something else. I would avoid saying that this isn't a "good" ROM because it has worked fantastically for the majority of the people on here.

There are zero ROMs out there that don't have any bugs. ZERO.

Amen!

Of course there are also zero official releases without bugs too. Until Android becomes sentient, humans will always introduce error. Of course, when Android is sentient, we will have a whole host of other issues to deal with :p ;)

Amen x 2 :D

I am getting frustrated with this ROM and think I might change to bugless beast. I clean flashed each of the 3.0 builds and cannot seem to eliminate the random reboots. What compounds the issue is that each time it does reboot this way, it gets stuck at the Google screen, and when I go into recovery, it doesn't fix the issue. Wiping cache and dalvik doesn't help, and when ever I try to reflash the ROM or restore a nandroid, it fails. I keep having no choice but to return to stock each time.

That really stinks. If you get the urge you should try xenon it is very good. I've never experienced a random reboot on any jelly belly builds even back to 1.3. Wild how different ROMs act on individuals devices

What's really weird is that it was perfect until it changed to the source code. I wasn't flashing any mods or kernals because I'd rarely make it a day without this happening. 4 times in the last week is difficult to deal with.

3.8 in my drop box...same 7/18 gapps....flashing now
Important!
Please remember that until the ROM is listed as official in the OP my drop box version should be considered an Early release. THANKS!!!

Funny you say that. 2.5 was the most trouble free version I ran and it was still based off that gsm nandroid. I mean the bugs, for me, are so minor in these most recent builds but there were zero in 2.5

What's the difference b/w 3.7 and 3.8?
After flashing 3.7 last night I had to restore back to aokp 4.0.4 . I was getting a few random reboots. And on a couple of them I heard a pop sound and a flash of the screen.. needless to say I said the hell with this lol. It was smooth. But the random reboot and wifi issue wasn't goof for me.
What's the change log for 3.8?

Edit: nvm...I just saw the change log posted above me. ( I'm on mobile)

MMS over WiFi was working fine for me on 3.6 but it is no longer working for me on 3.7.

Edit: I just rebooted because I lost my signal and now I'm stuck at the Google logo, I've booted into recovery and tried wiping cache and dalvik but it did not help.

Edit: Trying to restore a backup and/or doing a factory reset still gets stuck at the Google logo....suggestions?

First off, how do you know whether your mms is going over wifi or 3/4G?

Next, I have rebooted my phone several times since being on 3.7 and I thought I was bootlooped...no kidding. I laid the phone down and after about 5-10 minutes if finally got past the Google logo screen. This was NOT just on the first boot after flashing 3.7, this is every time I reboot. So, 3.7 seems to take a very long time every time to boot up for some reason.

And thanks guys for the dropbox links! That really helps out grabbing these new releases :)

I think it was mis-stated. MMS isn't working for some people WHILE wifi is turned on.

Yes. Some reboot were normal. Some took a long time. #3.7

OK, thanks for clearing that up...lol! Wondered how to get mms to go over wifi :D

I have been flashing away all the releases that come out and have been flashing the circle battery mod as well with no problems so far. I assume it still works on 3.8? EDIT: It does...just flashed it.

Also, one thing I miss since moving to JB period is use to when I would press and hold down the power button I would get a menu that had the option to reboot the phone. Now, that menu does not have the reboot option, just power down and airplane mode. Does the Power Menu mod add that back?
