[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

If you find JB 3.9 there is no need to flash it. You get rick rolled on the boot animation. I guess it is a joke by Jake.

This is from Jakeday...he found the error in the Wifi settings in the ROM. Fix is coming soon, but for now:
This is a different bug than was fixed previously. A workaround until I get a fox in place is to use googles name servers for your WiFi DNS. Just connect to the WiFi, for to settings, WiFi, long press on WiFi network, edit, advanced options, change to static instead of dhcp and put in 8.8.4.4 and 8.8.8.8 for DNS2

So I tried this and it still doesn't work for me. :( It's not a deal breaker...but it would be nice to send texts from home with out toggling.

Is anyone else seeing that the stock clock app will not turn to landscape mode? I just started using my phone as a bedside clock and now it's not working.

Edit: Nevermind. Auto rotate was off somehow.

What's "SuperWipe" in your drop box

It's a script that will do all the necessary wipes before flashing the rom and gapps.

Bsems, you flash that ONE Super Wipe zip and it automatically FORMATS /data, /cache, /dalvik and /system.

EDIT: AOKP Jelly Bean looks exciting and all, but I need a daily driver: not an alpha test release. You guys have fun with that one, I'm sticking with Jelly Belly until AOKP JB is a lot more polished :)

Uh, AppsRus, I think you owe it to yourself to upgrade. CLEAN WIPE & FLASH from that far back.

Everything from 3.0 backward is based off a GSM port... everything from 3.1 on is based on Google AOSP. I find it stable, fast, smooth. Make a nandroid, wipe the phone, flash & set up 3.8.

If you don't like it (for some reason I couldn't imagine), wipe the phone and restore 1.7.

Just DON'T be on the latest and "greatest" CWM! Apparently it has real issues restoring nandroids on Jelly Bean.

So I'm running the 3.8 and it would seem with both Google maps or mapquest my location is way off. Never had this issue with previous versions of jelly bean. Any suggestions? Thanks..

getting the wifi toggle boot animation loop after coming to work today and turning wifi on

next is reflashing 3.8 dirty to see if that fixes before reverting

Had the same thing happen to me last night.. come home, turn on wifi... boot loop... moved over to BB just to give it a try...

Okay, I.m in.
I installed 3.8 and what a mess it was at first. I had to go back to stock twice, but i finally got it going.

The only complaint that I have is it likes to eat the battery more than ICS.:(

Welcome to Jelly Bean! Check your Google Now & location settings. Those things love to constantly poll and kill battery. My Google Now is minimal and my battery life is pretty good :)

Thanks.

I am using the same app setup that I used on ICS.
Running apps>>Volume+, Go SMS Pro, Call Control, SwiftKey and Light Flow. <(All okay on the battery.)

Playing a game or listening to music eats the battery twice as much as ICS.
