[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

Hey y'all. Some of you may not know this but jbdan and his wife just had their first child. Since he is going to be preoccupied with all the normal newborn baby duties, I will be updating this and his other threads to the best of my ability. Hope that is cool with y'all.

That dev updates for each build so I am sure it won't be long. I will post back as soon as I see it drop on rootz!

they're all in there. under mirror.

the link under downloads has the jb kernel. the other kernels that work with the rom are in FAQs.

Hey y'all.

So when I open this thread in a browser I am seeing the 1%$s thing. When I view the thread in Tapatalk the OP looks like it should with working links. I will pm a mod to review this.

Working on this...

4.2 already!? I was just on 4.1 haha. Btw, does anyone know if there are recommended radios for this ROM. I looked at the OP but didn't see anything.

To answer the radios question...it appears to be a personal preference. The most current versions are the FC04/05. The radios are completely separate from this ROM and would be flashed on their own....same with the boot loader....
Here is the link for more info on the VZW radios...read, read, read please!

VZW Nexus Radios

Also wanted to add again the link to my drop box, in case no one has the link:
Ryan's Dropbox
At least until the OP has been updated again...

How odd. Luckily I saved my OP to a notepad file and just updated all links, but they say "1$s" or something to that effect. I'm guessing just a forum glitch?

I do appreciate those who are keeping the posts updated :)

So I'm thinking it is the hide tags that are fubar'ing it maybe...

edit: I do believe the hide tags are fubar'd atm ;)
see

yup see ^ :p

Deleted all
links they are out in the open a little hard to decipher through the OP but no more "%1$s" will fix once forum staff fixes hide tags

Got this from rootzwiki:

OK yall heres the latest, straight from Jake on IRC.

He acknowledges the 4.x line is cursed and is working on what he called a "major overhaul".

He said he hopes to have 5.0 out tonight, but it may be tomorrow. Please hold on just a little longer, ye with the gremlins!

Thank you for that report Halon.

For the hide tags problems... what is weird is that I see them perfectly in Tapatalk. It is as if the SPOILER HTML is only working in Tapatalk.

Updated OP to 4.2

No change in changelog through since 5.0 is coming. I may be late in updating OP when it does. I have my hands full today and tomorrow but any guide who can get to it before I do feel free. Let's give jbdan the support he deserves by keeping this thread up to date. I have taken personal ownership but the membership team here always steps up and I don't mind help at all. A special thank you to all members from me to you. You keep me coming back. To the best forum ever FTW!

How's 5.0 for you guys?

The gapps link has 7/25 as the current version gapps jb 20120726. The 7/18 one is 20120717.

Thanks for pointing that out. I also found that the gapps I am using is actually dated 7/26...I tried the 7/17 and then the Goo app found the 7/26 signed gapps....

I will be updating my drop box shortly...but they should all be there already.
Also did a clean install this morning of 5.0....will see how the battery does today, but it looks good so far. Absolutely no issues at all!!

Another note for installs...if the dev highly recommends a clean flash, and you did a dirty flash and then have issues....try to fix permissions in recovery, and a wipe of dalvik and a reboot....if still having an issue: Clean Flash please.

I was seeing an issue with some of my apps this morning after a dirty 5.0 install, but a clean flash fixed them. Now my phone is working beautifully!!
I did notice however, that a dirty flash for me uses about 12% of my battery in the 15 min it takes...and a clean install used about 22% over the 35min, including the reinstall and update of my apps and resetting up my homescreens, so something to keep in mind.
