[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

Grey bars just means that the connection to Google is not complete...usually let it settle, reboot and a fix permissions will work....
5.2 coming tonight.....

No No No. ;)

I have an excellent connection, it's a color problem.

It may have something to do with which GApps version.

Sorry...should have been more specific on the bars....
If the bars, clock, notifications etc are just dimmed, that's a color/gamma correction issue and usually happens when the phone does not like a specific kernel its on...however, if you are getting grey bars instead of blue for WiFi and 4/3g its a connection and sync issue with Google, such as your sync and backup/restore settings specific to the Google account on the phone. This will Not affect your actual connection to internet or phone service.
Some people have been reporting the same issue happening for them when using a Gapps package that did not mesh well with the ROM, true...usually because the download was bad or MD5 did not match....but that can be easily fixed with a new download and reinstall....fix permissions and a reboot....its not usualy a problem, but something is just off...Good luck!!

5.2 flashed... so far more buttery-er again...
Going to try leankernel this time around just to see. Was trying Franco but didn't notice any huge difference.
I didn't notice/realize one thing.... apparently you won't/don't get deep sleep if the phone is plugged into a PC? should this be the case? Not sure about just charging but will try to confirm that... will report if any issues.

Edit: ... I've never had the gallery move/go this fast..

5.2 is a good build.
I installed GApps Formula84, and what a difference it makes. << More crisp and less bloat.

Also installed Multimod(blue).

The 5.3 download from Goo seems to be bad. (129kb)
The other 5.3 links are okay.(131kb)

:confused::confused:

PS.. Something is wrong with Androidforums as well. The lay out is all messed up.

yes.. forums are messed up..
Flashed 5.3 and the Formul84 gapps... don't know if it's the 5.3 or the gapps, or both, but wow... fast..

Edit: stock kernel for now.... and I did not use the goo link... it was too slow at the time anyway.

Got home and wifi boot loop again. I thought that was fixed a long time ago. Or could it be my dirty flash?

Huh....I have not been home yet, so will check with my home wifi in about 2 hours....

Make sure to reboot and fix permissions to make sure it will all stick....But yeah, I thought that was already dealt with.

Did you ever apply any of the DHCP/Static settings for your home wifi? If so, maybe check to make sure they are still there. I noticed after a clean flash that my wifi went back to DHCP....

It will always reset to DHCP after you do a factory reset.

Instead of using static, you should log into your router and set up a DHCP reservation for your phone. That way it'll always be the same IP address, but you don't have to mess with it.
