I'm missing something here. this is not working. I run the bat, i reboot into stock recovery, and nothing happens. I also tried running the bat with the phone booted.
nada. am i missing some drivers? doubt it since i've connected my phone before...
Did you tried the "2nd-Init Recovery Flash Version" using LTE2 Recovery App (also known as 2nd-Init Recovery app)? Download and installed the app on your device. Then download a copy of the 2nd-Init Recovery Flash Version from my OP to your external_SD. Now start the LTE2 app and tap the install recovery button. Then once that is done tap the reboot button. When you are in the LTE2 recovery you can flash the 2nd-Init Recovery Version zip you copied to your sdcard. If all goes well you can uninstall the LTE2 Recovery app. Fyi, the LTE2 or 2nd-Init is not a true recovery in the sense it is its own partition, if you are wondering why you can't just use that for nandroid backups. It's just a work-around before we had the loki exploit because the bootloader is locked. It overlays the boot image in memory and is not truly on its own partition. Hope this works for you.
