i will take a million dollars

nemesis says he's got one, if you wanna beta test hop on IRC. I'm gonna let the usual serial-flashers iron things out :)

Notice a difference from the OC? Did you get a chance to run 12/03 before flashing the OC?
I did, I ran all 3 12/03's, jt's, nemesis' and studoo; all were nice and all but ................;)....:p....:D....I think nemesis hit a grand slam on the first try with his 1200. Mind you he sent it to me a few hours ago but I wasnt on the PC, so I just flashed it and now am running it thru the usual stuff. So I cannot report on battery yet although since its not uv it will likely be not as good as uv stuff. I will try and break it tonight. Its real world as snappy as anything I've seen, ever and the synthetics are ridiculously high. This 1200 is even higher than Dirrks 1200 across the boards which shows the leaps jt made in terms of compiler flags, memory tweaks and what not.

So without passing final judgment yet, this appears to be the one we've [the performance hounds] been waiting for. :):D
I know he made a 1100uv and Im sure he'd be willing to slightly uv this 1200 for those who can run it.

I barely care about synthetics any more however, just to wet the whistle:

Put in perspective the old Dirrk and jt 1200 would get 9.7-9.8. There is definite progress in the fit and feel of this baby.

I havent even tried quad and I wont for awhile, going to lay in bed and run some apps and try to fry this sucker. If its stable Im sold.

yeah some are calling it studoo:rolleyes:
I got it too now, so I'll likely be making my 4th conversion to voodoo in the past week:p

It borked my phone.
It looked fine until I tried to boot to recovery and found out it wouldn't load the red cwm and the green one no longer worked. Makes it real hard to flash something. Luckily comrade was in IRC and was able to whip up a odin file to restore red cwm.

Honestly I never pay attention anymore. I bought the Verizon spare battery/charger, now I just forget about it. No more Juice Defender, no more trying undervolt kernels, no more scrambling to plug in while tethering. It's great :) This thing takes batteries unlike an iPhone and boots fast unlike a Blackberry.

I'm pretty much the same way except I have lots of chargers. One in the car , office, home, pc desk by the bed...I'm never far from a charger. I have so many I can't even not put it on a charger. I've tried to not plug it in for testing purposes but always end up doing it out of habit and convenience. Which is why I do all my battery test while I'm a sleep.

They were released last night? Ill have to drop into irc after church. :)

Im assuming they were jt based

:( well bad news good news I suppose. Bad news is I did crack it, the more intense the 3D game the more like to crack. So several of my gameloft titles would freeze. Anything 2D or mere menu scrolling is fine, web is fine, gps which apparently is not ok on some recent kernels is ok. I finally did 4-5 quad runs and on my last one it froze. Usually if a kernel does quad at all its good for me this was weird though. So while its close there is still instability in heavy gpu based usage. This is a dilema of course because if I didnt play games and only did texting and IM and web and camera [which some people out there do] I would say this is the best performing kernel ever. However, I do play games and while the 2D ones are fine some of us got the SF for the gpu and sadly this first test is still not there for 3D games.
Now I have not had the problem Piiman has. After enough freezing in 3D I used red cwm to go back to 12/03 [jt] so it worked fine no issues with red cwm for me.

I just shared the file with nitsuj17 so hopefully more testers can figure it out and nemesis can make a second release.

It is close though IMO

Glad the gears are turning :) I don't care for UV personally, just want it to fly. UV can work great until you get one app that makes it unhappy. On Dirrks for me it was that Poweramp beta. Next version ran fine, but the beta would freeze my phone. No other game or anything ever did

In any case, I could be happy staying on 12/03 stable if need be.

Meebe you've got yourself an extra-stout phone there :p jealous. I thought I was gonna be one of the lucky ones too, but out of nowhere just froze. It didn't get hot or anything, might just want more juice.

I hope nem finds the time to fix this sometime, I'd flash it again for sure. It was smooth other than the lock.

How do you like Asphalt? I thought about getting it when I thought I'd lost NFS but system dump + TiBU = win! :)

I like it a lot....been playing it more and more lately

i will say i noticed an issue with the stock browswer and this kernel....3 or 4 times over the course of 2 hours it randomly closed...not fc....just closes itself...weird

That's really weird...maybe he tweaked the minfree? It closes while you're using it or in the background?
