No improvement reception wise, still -83dbm 4asu from fa02 to fc04. But I suppose the real test will be tomorrow at work where I usually have -120 or no signal at all. Though I'm not that optimistic.
 
Not noticing a difference with these radios....
Signal levels, speeds, call quality are all as they were before.

I still have noisy calls, like I had with the previous 4 phones...

OS seems snappier than stock.... but then again so did AOSK roms....

Jury is still out I think...

Edit... wife just called me and I had the muted audio problem :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I've seen -140 on mine
 
i'm installing the update now....

As far as LTE signal goes.
FA02 radios used to give me about -93dbm.
I rolled back to the 4.0.2 radios today and was at -107dbm.

New radios are at...... -93dbm

But I never had a problem with the 4.0.4 leak so I'm OK with that.

Totally called it. If it wasn't fixed in AOSP 4.0.4 based ROMs, it wouldn't be in the VZW OTA.

I am going to have to think about selling this phone and getting something else I guess. :( I need the phone to you know...WORK AS A PHONE.

Have you experienced it yet? Why would you think about selling your phone by what someone else is experiencing :confused:
 
Ah crap. If that's really the case then I'm getting rid of the Nexus. I have no other choice. Damn, damn, damn. After the update of course. Not that I don't believe anyone, but I'm stubborn and holding out hope.

Man that's ashamed you get it that much. I would moved to different device a long time ago, but that's just me.

My sister also has a GN. We talk a lot...you know how girls are :p I experienced it, uhh I think twice now in 4 1/2 months so maybe 1 or 2% of my calls and my sister had it happen to her once....while talking to me lol. Hit or miss I guess

I think you guys will have to root if you want to apply this - otherwise you'll have to wait for your OTA. I believe there are ways to root without unlocking your bootloader and wiping the device, but they require installing drivers and doing some manual input that might be scary.
 
After an hour with them I am seeing an improvement in signal strength throughout my entire house. Also, and somewhat odd, the screen (touch) seems very responsive noticeably more than before. Ahh well we'll see what the days ahead bring to give it a full verdict!
 
I noticed a nice improvement. -94 to -82. Same exact spot, minutes apart. I'm happy. Details in Voided Saint's thread with the download links.

You're on craigs leaked .4 right?

I posted a full package a ways back no need to go back to .2 like some of the threads out there right now. You can just flash this in recovery if you'd like to try the new radios Anti.
 
Well we are all waiting for the mysterious 4.0.4 update from Verizon. (I think personally we should flood there tech people with pissed off calls for the update. Just call them over and over again piss them off much as we are.) Anyways when is phandroid gonna update so the three buttons that have been saying "coming soon" for forever now go live and make it to I don't know to where we can use them? I personally would like to use the app to the fullest.

If this doesn't fix call muting issue some of you are having, maybe that's why verizon skipped 4.0.4 and trying to do 4.0.5 OTA instead? Mine works fine as phone, but I really wish this issue is resolved with official update. As for signal strength, I'm still on 4.02 stock. So any improvement from that would be good for me.
