I *think* one of those is a carrier forum for T-Mobile, and the other is for the T-Mobile app.
Yep. Had to go desktop to see that the one with the TMo logo related to the TMo app. The one with the "bars" logo was an unknown perhaps rogue TMo forum. And then there is an entirely different TMo forum with just a file folder icon, which is the "real" carrier forum for TMo and THAT one has threads that load. Thanks codesplice for the good lead.

HOWEVER, when the threads for the correct TMo forum load, there are NO recent threads, only threads 3 month old and older. Weird.

So for a few weeks/month since the HTC U11 was added to the 'Best Devices quick shortcut box' on the homepage I've noticed that it directs to the wrong device. I've been clicking it for weeks hoping it would get fixed.
There are 2 different HTC U11 boards or channels. It currently links to h ttps://...U11.10522 and it needs to direct to h ttps://...u11.7954

The extraneous board/channel (10522) appears to only ever feed news entries from Phandroid. Something is crossed up. I think there used to be even 3 x U11 boards at one point in time, but one has since disappeared.

(NOTE: When I'm logged in (logged in to post this^), the HTC U11 doesn't even appear in the 'Best Devices quick shortcut box'! I'm becoming very disheartened, I don't know what in the world to believe anymore guys. (Why is there a differing experience being logged in vs logged out?)

@Phases @steve Is this something you can resolve?

After chatting with @Phases, we realized that there are two channels. I merged 10522 into 7954 so there should only be one now: https://androidforums.com/devices/htc-u11.7954/

If you have a favorite or a bookmark, you will just need to update or remove it but the 10522 did not have any threads anyway.

This was just a moderation issue and usually, does not happen but... since we are trying to keep pretty good accuracy we manually do most of this so mistakes can happen. If there is still something not showing or updated correctly for you let me know!

I believe it's a combination of post count/trophy points/likes/join date etc...the lower the rank, the more of a geek you are the "better"? (for lack of a better term) :p
Did they make a post when this started explaining it that I'm not finding? Why am I #180? I'm not a dev. Is Android forums just that unpopular?

Pretty sure we just need to get forums and channels merged. @Phases may be able to confirm but I'll investigate more tomorrow.

Nice, Thanks Steve (and all that helped)

Did something happen with the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Forum? I'm seeing threads from there that are posted/posting to the generic "Android Devices" category like they were possibly orphaned? It looks like the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 (old tablet from ~2013) is gone too. Did the Note 8 (2017 phone/phablet) and Note 8.0 (~2013 tablet) boards get merged up accidentally? (potentially dangerously confusing naming I know, thanks Samsung)

TBH, 550 posts on any forum is pretty good. The vast majority of user forums are made up of either people with one question and a few posts later they are never heard from again, or, someone who makes an odd comment here and there but doesn't get into long, involved threads.

That's not Androidforums detriment, but your credit for being as involved as you are. :thumbsupdroid:

Not sure where to put this, but I opened a notification from the app and it didn't let me scroll through the pages of the thread, it only showed me the last page. When I went out of the thread and came back in I was able to switch pages.

You should probably say something to @steve about that. I think that's "as designed" behavior with the rationale being that you'll want to see that last (latest) post and reply to it from the notification. Jumping to anything but the last post might be confusing. That's my guess anyway.

Seems like it may be a bug with knowing how many pages before it loads the last page (whether or not to display the pager bar). I will keep an eye out for this. Thanks!

I know it should load the last page, the problem was it wasn't letting me switch to any other page.

I play Eternium and I've made about 1000 posts on that forum in the last year :D

My main issues with the app now are that things don't automatically refresh and that whenever I scroll up in a thread it covers half the screen with a random color
Edit: I just pressed open in browser in this thread and it said page not found

I believe this thread was meant for the CPU Website.. The app thread is labeled 'Forums_2.0' 😎
