Root What's Wrong With This ROM?

Press menu. Personal, screen lock password, then select if you want pattern or number or other.
 
Yes, but when I do that it doesn't do it the way I just said I wanted it to, it does it for certain apps and stuff... also, what about my previous question about the camera?
 
It won't help though - the Miui camera I have is version 11, which doesn't have a self-timer. I have tried various ways to get version 17 (current Miui XJ version), which does have it, to run in CM, but no luck.

Okay, I'll keep the MIUI ROM... But I need to know A. How to set a screenlock that will appear after I switch on the screen, and B. How to change the lay-out. After I have these questions answered (Providing I get the right answers) I will start the partition.
 
You can change the layout by installing a different launcher, such as Go Launcher or Launcher Pro. I ran Miui for much of today, but using Go Launcher, and that worked fine (I found the Miui launcher didn't work for me).

As I'm now back on CM (Android 2.3.5 today ;)) I can't quickly test the lockscreen settings - done enough nandroid for one day...

Edit: which means I probably won't try replacing those libs tonight, unless I get bored...
 
... You should know by now my intelligence level is low... To say the least..
 
It's ok, but its best to try and get your head round as much as you can.

If you want to put a list together of everything you don't understand, ill happily try to answer it. It's up to you though
 
Okay, thank you. I just have a question that didn't get answered before, and another:

How do I set the screenlock to appear after I switch the screen on?

How do I copy an icon on the desktop/screen?
 
Password for your lock screen in easy to follow steps

Settings
Personal (second tab along the top)
Personal Password
Personal and Security Settings
Security - then set the pin number you want.
then go back and press...
LockScreen - switch to "on"
Switch all the other options to "off"

Exit and re-boot. It won't work without the reboot.
 
Yes, that's why it didn't work, I never re-booted it... Thank you!
 
Now all I need to know is how to copy the icon on my home screen?
 
That was your first assistance?! Well done! Also, I fixed that problem guys, I found another one of that icon somewhere else on the screen.
 
I will now start the partition (for the like 4th time). I need to know, can it be made with a normal (round) CD?
