You can either use CD software to "burn image to disc" to create a CD that your PC will boot from or you can do this and not have to bother with a CD:

I tried, but as SUroot and I both expected it wasn't overly successful (unless your definition of "success" includes admiring the splash screen until you get bored and pull the battery out

Also, if I do partition my SD card, will I have to install any new MIUI ROM or anything? Or do a wipe?
I was talking about the Miui camera (specifically the version with the self-timer, and trying to substitute some libraries as well as the apk).
I believe Rastaman was talking about Sense ROMs which will have the Sense camera.
No, the ROM will be fine, and you won't need to do a wipe.
However, partitioning the card will delete all of the data on it, so you should back it up to your PC first: just connect the phone to your PC, or put the card in a card reader, and copy the files into a folder on the PC. Make sure you copy everything, all files and folders, including "hidden" ones whose name starts with a ".". In particular, there will be a folder called ".android_secure" - if you've ever moved any app to SD it will be there, so if you can't see it check that Windows Explorer is set to show hidden or system files - and you want to copy that. Remember that all of your backups are on this card too, so don't partition it without backing the card up.
Once you've partitioned the card, copy everything back onto it.

GParted is the Gnu Partition Editor, which we've been discussing previously. The page linked in the guide as "GParted -- Live CD/USB/PXE/HD" contains a download link for the GParted iso, so you get it from there. It's the thing you use to create the bootable CD or virtual machine.

Ok, and i accept i may well be jumping to (the wrong?) conclusions, but seriously mate you're just coming across as a 'troll' - either that or rooting/customisation really isn't for you.
And what's with the obsession about a self-timer on a phone with a camera, is that really a can't live without function? If it's that important to you, aren't you better:
A - getting a different phone
B - buying a camera
C - finding a friend to take your picture
Harsh? possibly - as i said happy to stand corrected - but will say I am mightily impressed by the patience that the experts SU/Rasta/Hadron etc have shown in trying to do their best to help you out.

There's something else I've been meaning to tell you guys. This just happened yesterday, my button problem came back but if I go to menu - running - close all programs, when it happens it fixes it. What is causing it? And yes it was after I installed "Go Launcher".

Seriously, I'm your b**** right now, co you are the only guys who can help me, so reep what you so. Tell you what, JUST help me partition my SD card, and I'll deal with the rest myself. Thank for all your help anyway, I REALLY do appreciate it.
