What's your favorite MLB team?

None of this matters, the Cards are going to win it all with the best catcher in baseball, Yadier Molina.

yeah but, you do not have puig, hanley ramirez, adrian gonzalez, clayton kershaw, zach greinke, or matt kemp.............who is the hottest team right now?

No, but we have played consistent ball all season, have one of the top pitching staffs in the game, may be getting Chris Carpenter back in time for the stretch run, and have one of the best offenses in the baseball.

i would say that our pitching staff can compete with any team out there right now. i think they are pitching at a higher level than anybody else......bring it cards!!!!!!

I wouldn't put any chips in that basket. I've thought for a while now that Carp was finished. I'd rather not think so, but I'm just calling it how I see it.

After the Nolasco trade, the Dodgers are looking mighty fierce. If only the bats could develop some kind of consistency.

What you think about Soriano trade?

Nonsense. Yanks are desperate to create some wins, but I don't see how we can make any positive moves with the bosses overriding any decisions Cashman wants/doesn't want to make.

Yea, i totally was scratching my head when I heard that. Soriano hasn't done anything for the cubs lately. Maybe when they first got him, what 6 years ago, he was a 40/40 guy right?

It would make sense from a business pov, but it would never happen from an emotional view.

They would lose what little bit of a fan base they have left.

I don't know about 40/40, but certainly about 25/25. Injuries slowed down Soriano's progression as an all-star, plus his defensive shift to a corner OF position. Not a great idea for a guy who never had much of an arm to begin with.

I was thinking back to Soriano playing 2B for us, but to think that we had Cano coming up through the minors and not knowing what his potential was - I could see why the Yanks were eager to make that trade for A-Rod happen. However, they should have known that A-Rod was going to require HUUUUGE money to sign to a long term deal, which that alone should have thrown up red flags. Let's not forget that Cashman DID NOT want to give A-Rod another deal after he opted out of his deal in 2007. Upper management has screwed us out of our long term goals of having the farm system replace the aging stars.

ouch!!!!!!

that has got to hurt yankee fans:p

go DODGER BLUES!!!!!!!

I assume you are referring to the loss last night? Those west coast games are too late for me. I always end up falling asleep in the 2nd or 3rd inning.

As it turns out, it seems to have been quite a good game. Nervous for Kershaw tonight though. That's not going to be fun.

As it turns out Kuroda was lights out.

LOL you are right....he was....but so was Kershaw. if it were not for an error and a bad non strike call there late in the ninth. we would have gone into the 10th even and who knows what would have have with my boys in blue;)

but hey......15th in a row baby!!!!!! on the road.....gonna hopefully go for the all time record of 17!!!!!!

It's cool. This year ain't the Yanks year. Probably won't be for quite some time to come. Management doesn't give a damn and this is exactly what I was afraid of when The Boss passed away.

yeah i hear you....it is how i feel about my lakers:(

and all this a-rod talk is making me sick, can't be good for your team either.

All this A-Rod talk is bad for all of baseball. Even though it would be good for the Yankees, I want A-Rod gone.

You and me both. Unfortunately for us (and the MLB), A-Rod potentially can bring the sport down if he can dig up any major dirt during this "trial".

Sadly, the situation is good for the Yankees because they stand to regain $36M from his contract. However, it is bad because it is unlikely the upper management will re-invest that back into the team. Those apples fell very far from the tree.

Indeed, I was hoping to see Selig put his money where his mouth was and actually bring down the life time ban on A-Roids. So much in saved money, and finally get that cancer out of baseball.

From what I am reading MLB has a boatload of evidence and contradictions in testimony, plus obstructing the investigation while A-Rods defense would be "I was singled out and that's not fair, boo hoo." I could be wrong, but I don't see how that would bring MLB down.

He just suspended 13 guys with multiple MVP and All Star seasons for drug violations without a single positive drug test and 12 of them agreed to 50 game suspensions and waiver the appeal process and the toughest players association in sports is going along with it.

I'd say this was the biggest PED victory any commissioner or governing body has had in any sport worldwide. Now it is much harder for someone to say "I'll beat the test" because there will always be a rat or a record. The test isn't necessary anymore.
