What's your favorite MLB team?

O.K., as a Dodger fan, here's my take on the NLCS. With Kemp out, Ethier not back in playing shape, and Ramirez getting a fractured rib, they are effectively done. Hitting Ramirez, took away their best chance of winning. I don't "think" that it was done intentionally, but what better way to insure that the opposing team didn't have a fighting chance? What would have happened if the Dodgers had drilled Holliday or Molina in retaliation? I would have done it, just to send a message to the Cardinals, that the price of victory is very high. Now we'll never know who the better team really was. Something doesn't smell right to me. His first time up, in the first inning of the first game, and Ramirez is taken out of the equation? It's a cheap victory for the Cadinals, in my opinion.

i'm a huge dodger fan as well, but i do not condone retaliation like that. the Ramirez hit was not intentional.....if anything i would have given someone a brush back or something....but evening the odds like that is not good sportsmanship IMO.

that said.....it aint done until the fat lady sings......talk to Kirk Gibson about that or the 1988 Dodgers.

Ramirez is back in the lineup and so is Eitheir. Both will have an effect on how they pitch to them so any little bit will help.....i do agree that they have an uphill battle, but i still believe.

KEEP THE FAITH

VIVA LOS DOYERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the Sox make it I want to play the Dodgers so it isn't labeled a 2004 rematch between the Sox & Cards. Plus, I think a Dodgers / Sox series would be more compelling.

Tigers fans, note, I said if the Sox make it. In no way am I writing off Detroit. Their starters have pitched out of this world, and if I only knew the stats I would think the Sox were on the verge of being swept.

I've been a Dodger fan since i can remember. I grew up in Brooklyn, in the 50's, and i've seen them all. Robinson, Campy, Hodges, Reese, et al. In my day, ether the pitcher who nailed Ramirez, or one of their sluggers, would have gotten hit or at least knocked down. The "message" has to be sent!!! IMHO, big money took the spirit out of the game. I bleed Dodger Blue as much as Lasorda, and i know that it's possible to win three games in a row. I really hope that they can do it. How about the '81 World Series against the hated Yankees? God bless Fernando.:)

One down two more to go on the road.

Viva Los Doyers!!!!!

Seguro! If Ethier can get locked in, and Kershaw pitches like Kershaw, we have a good shot at game six. At least Ramirez gets some extra rest. Game seven would be one for the books!!! GO DODGER BLUE!:)

Yes, yes...we know. The STL Cardinals are the Rodney Dangerfield of baseball, don't get no respect!

Well I'm here to tell you, they are second only to the NY Yankees in WS victories!

A Midwest WS this time!!!

Let's see now...Weren't the Cards up three games to one against the Giants, recently? How did that work out for you?:p

Like I said, no respect! :musicus:

O.K., Kershaw may have gotten squeezed on some pitches, but the better team won. Congratulations!:)

Well, my Dodgers are done, so now i'll concentrate on Notre Dame. Maybe i'll have better luck with them, as they play USC tonight. GO IRISH!!!:p

Hah. I guess I was wrong altogether. However, I'm going w/ the Cards on this one. I'll be wearing my "Buck Foston!" t-shirt for the entire series. Lol :p

Just for you buddy:p

In my house, Fever Pitch has a sad ending. I don't like the Yankees, but I effing hate the Red Sux. The "we don't buy our championships like the Yankees" argument seems really dishonest when their payroll is nearly twice what my Royals' payroll is. I'd be more than happy to brag about buying just one championship that I can remember (I was only 4 during the 1985 Series and don't remember a thing about it).

I wish I hadn't lost my "F--- Bahston" t-shirt (with the expletive spelled like one would hear in that atrocious accent).

Jeter missing a good chunk of this year will probably cost him whatever chance he might have had at catching Pete Rose. Going to be a lot harder now.

I wonder if that was all that important to him to begin with. He's always been a team player instead of someone who chases individual achievements.

Also, he had no chance of catching Pete.
