One thing I am noticing with the LG Spectrum 2 aboot file, is the video does not work, but it still boots our phone

For instance with our aboot if you hold vol down and power (from a powered off state) you will get a screen to do a factory reset

When I use the LGS 2 aboot I can not see that screen, but I know it is there

Same thing with the signature verify error if you try to flash a custom recovery and then boot in to it, I just see a black screen, but I know that the error screen is there.

And if you erase the recovery partition and then boot into recovery you do not see the fastboot screen, but I know that it is there, because fastboot works, as it does on our aboot file

The Regard aboot file does not have these video issues because it is more closer hardware wise to our phone

The next aboot file I would like to try is the Optimus VU 2, but I do not even think that it has been released yet

I am not sure if that is the right email addresses, I did not receive a reply, but I did not get a non delivery message either

The reason the screen is blank is because that bootloader was made for another screen. Also,I thought I once saw a thread with the spectrum having an unlocked bootloader, you need to find it and flash it!

Well guys, looks like I'm out of the game. Just perma-bricked, tried to flash CWM from within a 2nd-init recovery.

Nope, nada, surprisingly, screen won't even flash. I was relying on e-mode to save me again, like it has every time. But I flashed a rom for a different phone and apparently partitions were different, overwrote my bootloader with a recovery, and ya...
 
A jig is cheap on line, if you are totally crashed. Its worth a try to use it to put the phone in e-mode or down load mode to get sammyz unbrick method started. Just start with youtube and goggle and ebay for more info.
I hope you did try removing the battery.
And you can try lg software update agent with a computer.

What do you mean a "jig"?

EDIT: OK, found some guides, nvm. Only problem: looks like they are Samsung only. Going to try it anyway as soon as I get some resistors.

hey may be able to do it with a RIFF box, but it is not guaranteed, and they cost about 150

I do not think the jig will work at all, but who knows

who knows, I've used it on motorola,htc,samsung and other phones.
its worth a try or you can start building a wall . Just kidding,

Alright, I'll have a phone again around friday. The guy at metro was great. Ordered me a new phone, no questions, for only 11 dollars.

Hmm, ok. I'll make one just in case I have a problem again. But, as the phone wouldn't do anything at all, I'm not sure if it would have helped. Thanks!

i got the jig and tryed it. It puts the motion into E-mode. take out the
battery. insert jig. put battery in e-mode started.
 
did you guus know that they got a recovery botting and booting into the os the only problem is that we still can not flash custom kernals cause of the locked bootloader but we are close ^.^
