I sent my friend a pdf. I was able to open it by going to downloads, but the app screen doesn't show drive. It's there but hidden, I guess. Also it goes the wrong way, vertically. How do we fix this?

I have a Motorola Moto e6 XT2005DL phone running Android 9 (I guess a dinosaur at this point), but it is great for my use, and I don't feel the need to buy a new phone every other year.

I installed a micro SD card with plenty of storage space and designated it as internal storage (so the apps will be installed on the SD card etc.) No need to worry about storage space forever! (I don't store large amounts of data, pics, videos, documents on the phone anyway)

however, I just had a little icon pop up telling me that I'm running out of internal storage (might have said internal shared storage) and that some apps might not run right etc. When I looked up online what to do about it, the 1st suggestion was to start deleting apps that I don't need, however if those apps are installed on the micro SD card what's the point? I have 97.22 GB of free storage left.

Much of the confusion is internal storage vs internal shared storage. My phone tells me that internal storage is 96 GB free, so what should I do, if anything, to free up internal shared storage?

Should I just ignore the warning? When I click on the settings/storage/internal shared storage/ I scroll down to "other apps", and it takes me to Apps Storage. I started selecting apps, 1 by 1, and clearing cache, but it didn't really do anything to free up internal shared storage. I don't know what I'm talking about..... hence I'm here asking 😏

A few days ago this crazy little digital thing from yes walnart started screwing up badly. It "tells the time" very fast, from 12:00 to 12:59 in less than a minute, and does that again and again. I have unplugged and replugged, waited a while, but no dice. It probably wasn't under warranty in the first place.

I want to make some or get really cheap stuff. I can't afford the fancy glass kind. It should have them but just doesn't.

I have a new tablet which is running Android 12. It is an Xgody N01Pro and is one of the Chinese made tablets and works fine. I have even double-checked that it actually is running Android 12 as I know there are cases where shady manufacturers show Android XX but actually have a previous version installed. Anyway, I have a small problem:-

I am trying to download an online banking app (from Google Play) from one of the major banks. The trouble is that I get a message saying "this app will not work with your device". I have been onto the bank's tech team and they say that the app should work on any OS after Android 8 so clearly mine should work. The only possible thing that I need to check out is that on the Settings/about screen, where it gives tech details, there is a heading saying "Custom build" and shows it as version
alps-mp-s0.mps-V4.92. So I am wondering if the manufacturers have tweaked the standard Android 12 version and that it is this "Custom build thing that is stopping the download.

Any ideas on what I can do now??

I just got a Pixel 6 and wanted get into the bootloader (to load in a different OS). It seemed to OEM unlock just fine, but when I went into the bootloader, it's saying that it's locked. Is there any fix for this, or am I stuck with it? Thanks, Wolf

Google photos is driving me insane with constant popups trying to get me to upload my photos.

I just want to view my photos, not edit them, not upload them, not share them, nothing but forking look at them on my screen.

Does anyone know of an app that will do this with no extra "features" I do not want?

This Moto G fake Stylus is mostly ok but the volume button is sorta stuck. I guess I can adjust it from settings, although it's clunky. Also, it makes it more difficult to take screenshots. I know about 3 finger, but it may interfere with what's on the screen. Is this a common problem? How do I fix it?

This morning I went to use Wi-Fi and I found out the phones were somehow disconnected. The network is on, signal strength good, security strong. I see no way to reconnect except maybe by auto connect and that isn't working. How do I fix this?

i got this over last Saturday. it is my first tattoo. it is still in the healing phase. today as instructed i put on the approved lotion on it and a lot of skin sloughed off. i am told this is normal. it has not flaked off because i try to keep it moisturized applying lotion 2-3 times thru out the day. i have also stopped working out as sweat is not good for the tattoo as it heals. i'll probably resume my workouts next week.

Many times, watching old westerns, the word Shiloh pops up. I knew it was a historical battlefield during the civil war, but that was about all I knew about it.

My placed in Tennessee is only about 25 miles from the Shiloh Battlefield so I went to Shiloh today. It was a real learning experience. I had no idea how brutal that battle was. You can spend hours there going through all the markers and exhibits

I know many of us here are animal lovers, and while we have the annual "fatalities" threads, our pets are family and I thought it might be a good idea to post about our dear departed furriends.

What prompted this is that we had to say goodbye to our dear Molly tonight (8/26). She'd been struggling for a while, but at 16-1/2 (for an Irish Setter, that's amazing, and she was an amazing dog) you sort of expect it.
