Thanks for the prompt response. I rooted this phone using Magisk but didn't realise it had these limitations. I will probably abandon it for this project and get something more mainstream. Thanks again for your input.

i think in another thread he had a specific app he wanted to install that needs root apparently. what that app is? i have no idea.

Sadly this is a common question (and most of them are about relationship insecurity).

Unfortunately we can rarely provide a definite answer: there are literally millions of apps, and a "heart" is a very common symbol used by many different types of apps (most of which are not what you fear). So unless the app in question is a common one it's a long shot that anyone will recognise it. I've certainly never seen this one before.

To be honest your best chance of getting a definite answer is probably to ask them (and hope that they don't guess why you care, as "I don't trust you" rarely goes down well).

Not yet. I haven't ported my ultimate DIY Custom ROM Maker app to this brand new Samsung device yet. It's only a matter of time now that I finally got my hands on it...

Check your Clock app to see if you have in alarms or notifications set on it. I had the same with my Samsung Galaxy Tablet and removing the notifications and alarms from the Clock app stopped the music from playing

NewEgg has good pricing on Refurbished/Open Box/Used computers from time to time. The laptop I'm currently using has a 15.6" screen, Intel i5 CPU and 8GB RAM, SSD hard drive. It was $400

I upgraded the RAM to 16GB and loaded Linux Mint on it. It runs great!

Without a screen shot it could be any of a thousand apps.

Out of the blue, I was getting my phone out of the pocket, and a tiny peice of the upper middle,my tendency of where I mostly press and tap so consciously, it was hot for a second, there was not much background apps to really harm the device...

Given that the OP's 12 year old Verizon HTC might be a CDMA only device. Probably can't do anything with the thing, except to BUY a replacement, as there's no CDMA netowrk to connect it to now AFAIK.

Where I am, probably millions of now obsolete CDMA phones went to the trash.


BTW I now hear that AM(Medium Wave) radio is an endangered species in the US, with many stations now shutting down their AM band transmitters. With the same thing happening in Europe.

From what I'm reading here, many people have been complaining about these old phones suddenly playing random songs in the middle of the night, without anything showing on the display. When they hit the volume, or any other button, it disappears without a trace.
Yes that's right. Almost identical to what happened to me.

So how did it play a song from my computer?
Its possible it didn't. If this is right, it may have played a recently downloaded song from my Google account.
As I had the same Google account on the 2015 phone, well. There you go.
By powering it up, it became active... the bug triggered, and it grabbed a recent song my Google account record, I had listened to. From "the cloud". In order for you to download apps on your phone you must be logged into Google Play. Most people on Android are always logged in Google Play, 24/7. And when you're logged into Google Play, it keeps logs of everything you do. For eternity.
And probably, even if you aren't logged in it.

But I wasn't logged into Google Play on my PC!
Aha, I think I have the answer to that too. Instead of Google Play, I was logged in my Youtube account, on the PC.
Google owns Youtube.
So their computers who track everything and everyone, must have determined that it is the same person on the PC, as the phone. As it probably also has done with you and yours.
Its getting to be a really small world isn't it? And like my father likes to say, "Google knows more about the inside of my colon than I do."

Yes there is a tiny airplane icon next to the connection and battery level icons. The thing is I do not use my phone constantly. I'll set it down and won't touch it again until I need it or I get a call. It's always just been a minor inconvenience when I do notice and turn off airplane mode and see a half dozen messages or notifications pop up. But the motivation to finally seek a solution was today. Our pet just passed a couple days ago and apparently they attempted to deliver her ashes to us and the guy phoned when he was in the area. I didn't get the call, he didn't deliver.

I think that in this case it doesn't matter whether the game is in App Store or Play Market, the question would still be the same.
By mediation I am referring to the mobile mediation platform like AdMob, Appodeal and etc.
Because if you want to monetize your app or game by yourself you need to connect all the ad networks separately but if you use mediation, you have only one SDK with the plugins from many ad networks.
So I was just wondering if anybody here had any experience and can give an advice
