yes. it can tell the difference. gps is not necessarily tied to a phone number. it is tied to the gps radios built into your phone and watch.

nope not possible. whatever phone you get, you will have to root it. do your research first before you buy a new phone. like i said earlier not all phones are rootable.

not all phones have a development community. developers are the ones who know how to root phones. they also make custom roms(custom operating systems) as well as a custom recovery(mostly TWRP).

xda is where most developers hangout. pick a phone and see if there is forum for it. if there is one then check to see if the forum is active or not. if there is no forum, then your phone does not have a dev community to support the phone.

Looking for a good call recorder app

Here in the State of Tennessee call recording is legal as long as one party on the call is aware of it (that's me). Of course, if I call a business and the automated greeting says, "this call may be recorded for quality assurance purposes", that expresses intent to record and implies consent for me to record it, too.

Again, though, is the problem of getting a call recording app to work.

Root (help) xiaomi stuck in between bootloader and twrp. no idea what to boot

my problem is that :
this phone does not have vendor partition which i deleted cause i thought it blocks installations of other ROMs than stock. twrp also probably is bad one cause redmi go is 64bit phone but i can load only 32bit OSes from there (error 255). Most OSes found online were always stuck at boot or even were bootlooping/shutting down device/blackscreen.
why i do not want to install stock? mainly i dont want g-apps and when removing them from stock i had more bugs than next to a lake in warm day. literally - couldnt install apps due to lack of core package related to google play services (as far i remember it was forcing google play's antivirus on every local install), had more problems with calls/sms/wifi than before (losing signal, undelivered content, etc) and was this slow like almost unusable so i just NEED custom rom. second thing i want is just root but its a smaller problem cause this i can install anywhere.
i also dont want to lock back this phone from "encryption unsuccessful" cause i also was affected by this bug + i dont want relocking bootloader
my desktop with android tools runs slackware linux so installation of any .exe apps for any official xiaomi installer or scripts surely UNAVAILABLE. plain adb+fastboot+etc...
any ideas?
someone maybe have a currently working set of vendor, twrp and system partition? i dont care about android version number btw, any custom rom, really...

The full story is that I am running a doorcam monitoting system called Doorbird. It's operated from my S20 phone. I would like a couple more permanent dedicated screens around. Doorbird sells these at £450 each !!!
I am using an old Samsung tablet P600 and an old S8 phone which are quite happily showing the live doorcam all the time 24-7.
My query to you all was whether keeping them on charge all the time 24-7 is harmful. Thanks for all the advice.

This one snuck (painfully) by: the comedian Gallagher died from multiple organ failure last November. He was 76.

I enjoyed his antics and many of his word-play riffs were impressive. (I got to see him in person once when I lived in Phoenix…luckily I was outside the splatter zone.)

Yes, I am afraid to crash my system. But I want to delete ipv6 module because I found some strange activity in my local network. I found that I use 40GB per mounth. It's too much, I only read a few article per day. And lost my battery very fast. I think, ipv4 is enough for me and more safe for my smartphone.

Now I search where ipv6 can be phisically located in system files.

I understood that at first, I need reset system in TWRP (complitelly delete all system files) and after that push "Install" button and choose my custom zip file with edited ROM. So..I will try:)

that can't be done anymore using adb. there is no program that can do this. plus in order for adb to work you would need usb debugging enabled and most regular folks would not know what that is.

FRP is a very good security protocol as you are finding out. i do understand that it does hurt that very small percentage of people who forgets their account info.

the only thing i can think of is contacting motorola. Samsung has said that you can take any samsung phone into a samsung service center and as long as you can show proof of ownership, they will unlock the phone. maybe Moto has something similar.
