Interestingly the Android 12 update has made my camera app work as expected. With motion capture off in the settings it refuses to shoot a video until you switch to video mode.
Apart from a slight speed increase V12 has just added some unattractive effects to the interface - a backward step I think.

There are several custom ROMs specific to your phone, Installing one of those (After installing a custom recovery (TWRP most likely) will be a lot less hassle that trying to install a generic ROM like a GSI)

anti virus apps are worthless on android. there are no viruses in android......malware, yes......viruses, no.

just be smart on what you install on your device and you should be fine. but the op has a rooted phone which makes it vulnerable to malware apps. but again, as long as you are careful on what you install on your device, it should be fine.

Thank you. No, it seems a builtin feature in Stock Android, but i do not know what it does mean .
I can lock and unlock each application in the task list but i do not know what i have locked and unlocked then...
I suspect it does mean some "keep in main memory" feature or something like that but i'm not sure in that.

Thanks for the response, phone is a Samsung S20, I will most likely end up asking under the right circumstances. Last time something like this came up, I was lied to and had to do some digging to prove the lie. Hoping this isn’t the case this time.

Hi, how do I get Android Studio to show the ubyte value in the debugger?
For example when I have a ubytearray, the debugger shows all the values as bytes not ubytes, ie -22 instead of 234 and other signed ones, I would like it to show the unsigned version.
Is this even possible? This is with Kotlin
