Dropbox issue

If you look into your Settings >> Apps menu and open up the Dropbox app entry, is there an 'Open supported links' option or something with similar wording? (...which contains options like 'Open in this app', 'Ask every time', and 'Don't open in this app').
Also, check the Settings menu in the Dropbox app itself for anything that might be relevant.

Wow, Google *really* don't want my custom!

I never bitched about the batteries. But the size of my hands is a constant, and hence the ergonomics of big phones will never improve.

The problem is that big screens appeal to people who use phones for video and don't mind using 2 hands to operate them. I use mine as a utility when on the move, so one-handed operation is important to me, and conversely have many better devices for video. But phones are commodity products where most manufacturers make little money, so the tendency is to find one type of product where they reckon the money is and produce nothing else. Sensible-sized phones are not the first segment to die as a result.

But this is nothing new. My real indignation was Google deciding that the UK market could get by with the low-capacity version of the Pixel 6, even though they make higher capacity ones.

Better alerts of Text Messages

Textra will sort of do what you want:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.textra

It has a setting to wake the screen when you get a text and lets you repeat the notification up to 50 times, but plays them two minutes apart.

Now, for the notification sound... most notifications are only a second or two, but you can add longer sounds to the default Notification folder usually located in one of these locations:
/sdcard/media/audio/notifications/
/sdcard/notifications/

Copy a long audio file to that folder and then you should be able to select it as your Text notification. If it's 30 seconds Textra would repeat it every 2 minutes, so it would play it for 30 seconds, be silent for 90 seconds, then repeat.

Help Headphones 3.5mm via a USB C adaptor

Hi....the main issue with that Y splitter is that it has a female TRRS jack on the one end, so you would have to have a TRRS male (sound in addition to mic) to TRRS male (sound in addition to mic) link to associate it to the USB-C earphone/mic connector (expecting that specific one you have truly is an earphone/mic connector and in addition to an earphone just connector). From the previous pictures, it appears as though the Synco framework may accompanied a male TRRS to male TRRS link that you could utilize (can't exactly tell in the image if the two closures are TRRS or then again on the off chance that one end is TRS).

Assuming it's anything but a TRRS to TRRS link, you would likewise require this to associate the USB-C connector to the Y splitter.

Pixel 3 Dead?

Both bricked over night... Mine was working great at 10pm went to bed and was dead at 6am
you sure it was not just a dead battery? battery life is usually 3-4 years....your phone was released in 2018 regardless of when you bought it....soooo....you are right on the borderline. was the phone plugged in over night? have you just left the phone on the charger for a long period of time?

Help How to get rid of Saumsung Account Notice

Strange. I also have a Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus and have worked on over half a dozen Plus Samsung phones with Samsung accounts on them that had lost password or were my own Samsung accounts. Not a single one I've ever had to use the method above to remove the account. All I ever do is go the account section and click my Samsung account quick remove then put my Samsung password in and everything is done. This is been done with multiple versions of the Samsung applications associated mainly the store and also done on multiple Samsung handset models. Good information to know in case I ever run across this problem.

Orbic Wonder Dev Thread

does anyone have any custom roms for the orbic wonder that are working or need to be tested?

I won't just yet. Have a good lead on getting the source code from Reliance Communications the company that owns the Orbic brand. Take me some time without a lawyer. Need to study GNU GPL more in depth.

There is a guy that has possibly already created linage for orbic Wonder. When I get a chance I will talk with him. If he hasn't until I get source I can't do anything professional nor can anyone on my team. Maybe something dirty could be created it's essentially a Redmi Note 3 ? I think it was... Same chipset and internals pretty much.

Chemicalproof clothing

Carhartts are the friggin' greatest.
Yes, they are expensive.

But here is the thing- as much as some of us try to protect the expensive items in our lives, Carhartts are work clothes.

Even when fresh and new, and looking sharp, they are nothing you would wear to a club or to a funeral (ok, MOST funerals.)

They litterally cost more than the nicest clothes that I own, yet I wear them in the absolute worst environments.

If you find that a particular area shows more wear, then it is smart to get protective equipment to cover those areas more.
At least then the Carhartts will last longer.

Help! I didn't open TWRP!

Hello, my phone is Samsung i'm installed the TWRP and installed (on odin to phone) to TWRP, reboots automatically and, open recovery mode and it puts me the Samsung recovery method, not the TWRP custom recovery method, any solution?
If you allow the phone to reboot all the way after flashing TWRP, it will automatically overwrite it. After flashing, you need to immediately unplug it and remove the battery, and then boot to recovery mode using the buttons
