Processor and Baseband Info

I do appreciate all the feedback. And I am getting the idea that the software that gave me that unit information, which included that "Aarch" bla-bla-bla led me off the proper path and ... Well, not to be trusted.

Oh yes, and ocnbrze, I had no impolite intentions with that response. Your tone struck me as if I had caused you some irritation. I was just reading the information that software had given me and it seemed different from the earlier processor info that was posted. I'm quite new at dealing with these little hand-held computer thingies and am not even sure I much like them, but family folks insisted I start to carry one of these around due to medical troubles, so I follow their rules.

How To Get Android Media Player To 1) Reboot After Internet Loss, 2) Clear Cached Data Every 24Hrs

I currently work as a developer/IT guy for an ATM/Bitcoin company. On top of our ATM's are monitors and media players where we display DOOH/programmatic type advertisements. We use Android-based media players along with the PerpetualTV platform/app to handle this. We're having issues at some locations where the media players go offline because of shoddy internet. Some of our monitors are freezing up because of limited amount of RAM. Both of these issues require us to go out to these locations and manually reboot the device. We're trying to cut down on that and have the media player resolve these 2 issues itself.

So what I'm looking to accomplish is to get these media players to automatically reboot themselves if they lose internet connectivity (Ethernet or WiFi). So if internet is lost, I need the device to restart/reboot.

Secondly, I'm looking for a script or app of some sort that will automatically clear cached data from the device every 24 hours. (Cached data from the PerpetualTV app). We're hoping this will help clear up some of the memory issues.

What is the best approach to handling this? App Development is not my forte, but I am a full stack web developer. I'm just not sure if this is something I could handle or if I need to hire someone. If I need to hire someone - I'm curious about the cost associated with this...

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Quite frankly from what you describe, it sounds like this PerpetualTV app itself needs to be fixed, so it can run perpetually, and anything else is like a band-aid for something that's broken IMO. Because I'm not sure if you can force a device to reboot every 24 hours with just an app or script, not unless it's rooted. I was speaking to an ad platform tech a couple of years ago, and he did mention his company's billboard systems and kiosks that used Microsoft Windows had to self reboot periodically, because the long term always on reliability of Windows isn't good.

An unmanned ad platform that's on 24/7/365, should be able to deal with internet outages and resume when internet is restored.
Really these things shouldn't even need continuous internet to show their ad or information rotations. and may only update their ad cache with new ads periodically, like once a day. If there's no connectivity available when they try to ping the server for updates, they should just continue to play what they've got already.

The issues with it consuming cache and RAM until it freezes and crashes, that sounds like a memory leak bug to me, and/or the app's garbage clean-up system is not up to snuff, e.g. clearing old data. Have you tried enquiring with the PerpetualTV devs or tech support about the issues?

I know China Railways passenger trains have Android based ad and propaganda screens in their carriages. I only knew it was Android because I saw one booting after the power went out at one time.

BTW is it this app you're having problems with?

That's apparently only had about a 100 installs and only one review.

What does grey phone and grey outgoing arrow on samsung call log symbol mean?

Okay so, grey just means normal outgoing and incoming calls that went through using your carrier
red means missed
also the little green arrow to incoming calls mean that it was accepted by you and the blue circle with a line though it means that you declined the call
I can confirm all of that.

Which google apps and bloatware can I safely remove on my rooted phone?

Curious. Many apps used Google's "fused location service", but that is tied to Google Play Services so it's not obvious why removing Maps would affect it. And if it does you'd expect disabling Maps to do the same thing as removing it. So this is a little curious - if GPS works when Maps is installed but disabled but doesn't work with it removed that sounds like Google have made Play Services check whether Maps is installed, which would be a crappy thing to do (because it would be an unnecessary technical restriction serving nobody but Google), but not impossible (either technically or Google being underhand).

Apps Android6 email

The point at the beginnig when I got this phone in my hand was that: some people in the worls have an obsession and some sort of idea that something must be known of every person in the world. And this would be one attempt to know of people to try to collect all the people to register to google and do everything with their spy applications.
I could understand it, but because I know who are the actual people who wants to know about human behavior. I rather give them false information. Their interest is not to help people, but to find weak spots, how to dsstroy their lives.
And think more your self :p

Then to do what you say here, personally I would set up a G-Mail account to distribute the false information.
Google is the absolute worst as far as spying and distributing your information, and G-Mail is their e-mail app.

For my personal, real information- that which I do not want distributed to everyone/everything with a microchip- I would set up another e-mail address with ProtonMail.

Root Monstro's Rom v10 ZV6 LS660 4.4.2 Fastest and Lightest Rom UPDATED 4/22/2016

The ROM works for me only until the first phone restart. Afterwards, it's going into the bootloop :(
What I've noticed is that my MEID/IMEI/Baseband is Unknown when I try to look at it from the settings menu. Therefore, I guess the bootloop is somehow radio-module related.
I'm OK using the device without the radio module / LTE (i.e. wifi-only), but it seems that I have to do the user data wipe after each phone reboot, otherwise I get a bootloop :(
I'd use the CM11 ROM, but rotation and camera does not work there... So I wonder if there is any way I can fix this bootloop on the ZV6 ROM

Bluestacks and RAM help

the reggedit files and the program files.. And I can't reinstall expect on a seperate drive, because the computer says "not enough space".

I don't use Windows myself these days. I'm totally macOS and Linux since 2006. :) But I know with RegEdit(editing the Registry), if you get that wrong, you could end up with a system that doesn't boot and having to reinstall Windows. So be careful!.

Check the Control Panel > Installed programs, and see if Bluestacks is registered as being installed there, and that might allow you to clear it. You'll find the Bluestacks EXE program itself under /Program Files/Bluestacks, along with the associated files. Try deleting that or moving it to temporary storage off the PC like to a USB hard-drive or USB thumb-drive, and that might give you enough free space to reinstall Bluestacks the normal way.

Bluestacks on a Mac requires about 8GB, I presume it's similar for Windows.

Free vacuum/air raid siren

Most modern vacuums are designed to be mostly maintenance free. Not to say they don't need cleaned and such. The fan motor missing its cover immediately becomes a suspect for the excessive noise. It likely would shield some of the motor noise but I'm guessing the cover was to keep the motor clean. I doubt the motor has any points to lubricate but once cleaned I would make certain of that. If there are places to apply oil.. it should happen. Cleaning and then keeping it clean is the ticket. If there are gears they should be lightly greased. If there is a belt in the vacuum you need to make certain it's in good shape and running true.

I think this is a link to your vacuum's owner manual. https://manualsbrain.com/en/manuals/806451/

Acer Swift 3

It should be mostly online stuff and maybe some wp, with games and movies also ran. I might eventually but right now I still hope to revive the old Moto G Stylus with minimal ADB Fastboot and possibly usb drivers. If nothing else I should be able to do a data scrape and get as much as possible out of the overpriced paperweight. At least I should be able to dump the sd into it. One of the main reasons I would want a computer is to have Calibre after all this time and be able to manage a bunch of ebooks. I just read an article on why ebooks suck and I agree. However, with limited money and probably space they seem to be the way to go for now. There is nothing that can compare with reading a real book or magazine (or cereal box or stop sign) but at the moment I am pretty much putting up with the ecrap. I wonder if it would help to print out some of them and read them in the real world. Anyway, what's important to me, besides price and reliability, of course, are a nice big keyboard, as huge a hard drive as possible, and expandability, most likely externally. My friend is deferring to me on this because he really doesn't know squat about it. I don't want to let him down but that probably won't be a problem because he's mostly planning to watch whatever yucktube shoves at him in that filter bubble and maybe have me help him buy online stuff. I'm sorry it's such a long answer but at least that covers most of it. These days, with the popularity of laptops, are desktops maybe cheaper?
