Thanks. I must have had a brainfart yesterday. I think it was because the default notification sound is labelled "SIM 1 notification sound" even though the only short notification that is actually specifically linked to a specific SIM, namely an incoming SMS, is the one I want an exception for. And yes, I can set that in my SMS app settings.

nice......in Nova you can even name the folder......not sure on One UI though.

this is how i have it on my note 10+

so i have a read, watch and listen folder on my main homescreen. the bottom row is called the dock and i have folders there as well.

Hey Friends,
After receiving notifications every 15 seconds to sign up/log in for Samsung again, I figured out how to remove it by calling Samsung and so far it seems to have worked.

You MUST remove from your phone first, then delete the online account (I did it backwards the first time.)
Then you can go into:
Settings < Accounts & Backup < Accounts < Click on Email tied to Samsung < Click the 3 dots in the upper right corner of screen < Press Remove Account

Hadron's reply was a reference to FRP (what the OP was asking about) while your posting was centered on a Factory Reset.

Just powered this device and being prompted to make choices I would want to think about. One panel is... "Copy apps &data". Would want to think about the risks and downside to this and the other prompts. For this moment I would want just to download audio podcasts and read about these other features at my leisure.

How can one do just this...

Sorry, I've no answer to this. My Pixel 2 allows me to toggle this on and off just fine.

Google changed this setting at some point, probably at the point where they made it possible to change (it used to always notify you), and they set it to "off", but I don't know why you cannot turn it on. As I never allow automatic updates it makes less difference to me, though I'm not a fan of Google making app updates more and more invisible (which is very Apple-like - to be honest the 2 companies have far more in common than either company, or their fans, would admit). But I do feel that by default people should know when their apps have updated, even if you give them the option of saying that they don't want to know.

I finally solved my problem with people not hearing me when on the phone.

I did 2 things and I'm not sure which one of the two actually solved my problem. I will experiment and update in a couple of days.
The easiest thing I did which might actually be the entire "fix" was to download the app "Microphone Amplifier" from the play store. I boosted the audio gain by 4 (it goes all the way up to 50).

Next I used my neckloop with my t-coil.

Now the other end of my telephone conversations tell me that the sound is perfect!

And Svim - The person fitting my hearing aid has an inferiority complex. She cannot be wrong. I told her with the new aids I cannot hear 2KHz tones real well. She tells me "according to your chart that is above your hearing range". I told her that I can hear it with the old aids, and she repeats herself that I can't hear sounds in that range. She won't acknowledge me. And that's just one of the issues, I can (but won't) list several more.

I have an appointment with another audiologist at a different location to work out the other issues.

I only use authentic cards from reputable manufacturers and sellers, verifying their legitimacy before I save anything to them. Yeah, but I also only deal with brick and mortar stores selling top name brand SD cards.

I have only had failure from SansDisk and Lexar, and PNY just plain don't work at all- at least in the one device that I tried them, and once was enough.

And the fact remains that the larger the card the more chance of failure.

This is an indisputable fact that the manufacturers admit to.

Battery apps are all junk.
They can't give reliable information on the health of a battery.

For instance, the battery settings in an old phone of mine, along with various apps, told me that the battery health was good- even though this was obviously not the case, as the battery had ballooned up like a marshmallow so bad that the back would not stay on the device.

Sometimes a miracle battery is found, that lastsfor years and years.

My mother's old Galaxy Prevail from 2012 still works great, and never has had a battery replaced.
Of course, the device is no longer in service, but she was using it right up untill about 5 years ago.

Hello

I would have wished for a free Android app to hide incoming call name and number in Infinix SMART HD mobile phone.

I found that "Couchgram" Android app is doing this action, but I tried to give it a permission to notification access, but I found that this feature (notification access) is not available in Infinix SMART HD.

Hope someone would has a solution for this problem or even suggest a free app alternative to "Couchgram", and can really hide incoming calls as well as without annoying ads, as I searched a lot in "Play Store" with no success.

I had galaxy s7 edge (with Android 8.0), and I used to do the following:

- Store some files inside "Secure Folder".
- Always stay connected with a VPN network inside "Secure Folder".
- Turn my mobile phone into a ssh server through "SSH/SFTP Server - Terminal" app.
- Access files inside "Secure Folder" through "WinSCP" in Windows 10 without a VPN connection.

Everything above were working fine until I have bought galaxy s21 (with Android 11) and Infinix SMART HD (with Android 10).

In galaxy s21 the connection through "WinSCP" failed with the VPN network active in "Secure Folder", however it connected successfully after deactivating the VPN network.

I tried to know the reason for this problem through doing these things in the other mobile phone (Infinix) but also the same issues happened, I understood from this experience that the problem is with Android versions later than 8.0.

Also even without VPN network, the connection to s21 through "WinSCP" is unstable (on both Secure Folder and outside it "the phone itself"), it disconnects and connects over and over again.

I hope the experts can help me in solving this problem.

If you're using Smart Switch, you don't actually need to use a computer. Just install Smart Switch on the Samsung and the other phone, and it will transfer your data wirelessly. That's what I did to transfer my data between a Samsung Note20 Ultra and a Huawei Mate10.
