Well, I tried Zoom and Skype. They are very useful especially now that face-to-face interactions are limited. What do you use for organization?

I have a Seicanne h6 in two of my cars and they work great. Recently I tried to transfer video and audio files from usb thumb drive to the internal flash memory. The preloaded file viewer app doesn’t allow for file transfer, copy or paste only viewing. After some research I downloaded two file transfer apps from the play store. One app (exFAT / NTFS) doesn’t seem to see the usb thumb drive the other can’t successfully transfer.
Should I keep trying file management apps? Seems like there is a file loader app on android head units other than the play store but that hasn’t been successful either. Am I missing something here? Why does the android head unit maker want to make it hard to transfer files onto the flash memory.
I’m a mechanic and have little experience with coding so any advice please describe steps in detail. Thank you

But yeah, if the screen has failed it's repair or replace. But LG have spared you from having to say "I'll never buy another LG after this..." .

That's an SQL error which suggests that a database used by either Android or an app is either corrupt or was not correctly coded.

I did just enable notifications in the Google calendar app on my phone (I leave them off as I have other calendar apps that suit me better) and created a test event, but it did not produce the type of reminder you describe for me. This may however depend on the device, android version or other settings (e.g. I have a Pixel 2 running Android 11 with always on display disabled). But the Google app, in common with most Google apps, is very limited in what options it provides and I couldn't spot anything in its settings myself that looked relevant to this.

There is an ARM v7 and an ARM v7 NEON. I went with the ARM v7. The NEON install page warns of a possible non-optimization.

Yeah, you can buy a new V60 for $425. I just added an battery case for my V40. It still works well but the battery was shit. New lease on life for $35!

- The release date of the V60 was April 20th, 2020, so it'll have security updates and OS updates until 4/2023.
- Personally I'd still buy a V60, that's about as much support as I expect from manufacturers, though lately I heard Samsung is upping their security updates to 4 years on their Galaxy phones. That's pretty sweet, but 3 years of full support is not bad at all.

I LOVED my V20 and now my V40 because of the extraordinary recording quality. I'd put it on a little tripod while jamming with friends and the music sounded like you were there.

Was recently looking for a replacement for my V40, and after making a spreadsheet that had critical features, this is what I came up with:
Must haves:
- Large screen, preferably 6.4" and above
- Wireless charging
- Outstanding battery life
- SD card slot (if only 64GB, if 128GB then it's optional)

Wanna haves:
- Headphone jack
- Release Date less than 1.5 years
- Stereo speakers
- IP of 68

The V40 has nearly all these criteria, the V60 does have all these. The closest I found that was affordable to me (I'm looking for total costs including tax under $500), was the Samsung Galaxy S10+. It's a little older though, release date of 2/2019. However I also found new V60s for that price as well: about $425 plus tax.

It's Smart Things, a service that comes with Samsung devices. You'll find more information for it in your phone's settings.

As for your S3, changing your ROM will not make any difference to your 3G data speeds. Changing the radio firmware might, but unlikely to make much difference, and you are probably using the most recent radio that Samsung provided - unlike ROMs nobody builds their own radio firmware(*), so you can't do anything there except use what Samsung provide. If the bottleneck is other overheads from the Samsung ROM then a slimmer custom ROM might help, but the 3G reception itself is what it is.

(*) The amount of proprietary information you'd need to build your own radio firmware makes it essentially impossible for anyone other than the manufacturer to do this, and a civilian wouldn't have the kit to test it anyway. And if someone did build custom radio firmware for a phone its certification would be invalid and so it would almost certainly be illegal to use it (operating an unlicensed transmitter in any of the cellular radio bands is illegal in the UK).

An anti-theft system works by being a deterrent, and so is most effective if all phones have it. If it's known that some phones can be re-used easily then even if they aren't as valuable as new ones there's still an incentive for theft, so it's better if the thief knows that your phone will be useless before they get to examine it closely. After all, if a thief grabs the phone off you or you kid in the street and then decides it's of no interest to them (for whatever reason, too new or too old) you've still lost the phone, you or the kid has still had the trauma of having it snatched, and you still have the cost of replacing it.

Besides, most manufacturers can't be bothered with providing any updates after a couple of years, what's the incentive for them to provide this one? I don't think there's any chance of them doing so, and many people would object if they did.

Hello, I try create an app on Android TV with text recognition. I know, that I can use MLKit for recognition on phone or tablet, but MLKit don't work with Android TV Google Play Services. Do we have any other options or libraries for scannig/recognition text on Android TV?

I haven't used the V20 in about a year. I upgraded to the V40 because the usb-c port was not working any more, and the Play Store was glitching to the point where it was unusable, so I had no way to get new software or update existing.

I was having the same problem with the usb-c port of the v40, and tried cleaning it out. It worked! So I did the same with the V20, and that works now as well, so the V20 is already looking like a viable 2d phone for secondary purposes.

Firing the V20 up for the first time in a year?, it seems the Play Store is working again, no idea why. I just ordered a wireless charging receiver for it, so the V20 is looking very attractive as a backup phone.

Does it matter why I want the update to 8? You not only get the enhanced features, but also a lot of security updates, which would be reason enough, but I also want whatever goodness they've baked into new versions of Android. I've had Android phones since 2.7 Gingerbread and my V40 is running 10. Personally, I find lots of valuable changes besides new features, including tweaking the OS for more speed and better battery life. Some apps are worst off for updates, but I've never had that experience with the Android OS updates.

I don't even know if this is possible. AFAIK, the only resource for Android 8 that is guaranteed to work with my LG-H910 model of the V20 is coming from AT&T. I imagine there are other custom ROMs (if I'm naming that correctly), and would be more inclined to risk it with a secondary phone like my V20, esp since I'm not that tech savvy or inclined and would be up shit creek without a paddle if my V40 bricked on me. (speaking of which, I see Android 11 is supposed to work on the V40, but T-Mo hasn't done the work. I'd be very keen on that).
