SOLVED: text and call notifications disappearing

I was not getting notifications for calls or messages even though every checkbox was on.

I could see the text message notification icon blink for a second, phone call was not even doing that.

Solution:
Settings/Apps
Click 3-dot setting menu (upper right corner) and select:
Special Access
This opens another menu that lists types of phone controls. I selected Notification Access.

It is here that I was able to look uncheck apps that were taking over my notifications. The culprit was Clean Master (I use it to clear memory and cool the CPU). Once I unchecked it, I started getting notifications back.

Anyway, hope this helps. Maybe you know the menu where I found it. Very frustrating. It started on my older phone and the setting carried over to new phone so glad I at least got it working.

Note: I went into other Special Access control menus like Change System Settings and made sure certain apps didn't have control. This is much easier than going through each app.

Help How to sync 2 bluetooth speakers to Note 8 besides Dual Audio?

We can do anything with software besides move physical objects without intervention. Synchronization of audio phasing is just not perfected yet. It can be done across any version of Bluetooth devices with a latency output app. Any brand, any model as long as you are able to stream from any generic built in Bluetooth output (without special apps for output). Think about it, we are only changing the phase of 1 audio channel output to synchronize. It is sad this day in age that there is nothing available to do exactly that. Since a mic is built in we should be also able to automatically synchronize by using an app. This is for an immediate position of where the app is used. I would agree if we were speaking of different size speakers and acoustics of a room and the synchronization properties, but for a basic phase delay app this should have been available for at least 3 years now....Will the real software developers please stand up. lol

Help GOOGLE VERIFICATION

i am trying to use the lgup to reflash my phone. i cannot get past the google verification page(forgot my password and google locked my account. does anybody know of a way to wipe my phone so I don't have to go through the google verification and start fresh?
did you do a hard reset? if you did then you have tripped FRP (Factory Reset Protection) in which you will need the account info that was most recently used before the reset. unfortunately, AF frowns upon discussing how bypass FRP.

the simplest way to reset your phone without tripping frp is to do a factory reset. this is done from your phone's settings.

maybe try these suggestions from google

Help Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Vs. Redmi Note 10?

In general it's best to avoid purchasing a device not intended for your home market, particularly because it will likely not have the correct radio bands (this is a hardware issue that cannot be fixed) but also because there may be other issues with compatibility and there will almost certainly be zero warranty.
That said if you are seriously considering such a purchase here is a good site where you can check to see if it will at least work on your network-

Download using HTTPS doesn't work on old versions

I have an app which downloads simple text files from my website using HTTPS. I have been testing it on emulators for every version from API18 onwards, and on real devices running API18 and API28. It works fine for API21 and above, but for API 18 and API19 it fails - the download just hangs.

The app uses DownloadManager, but I have also tried some code using HttpsURLConnection, with the same result.

I have read some old stuff that seems to talk about problems with HTTPS on old Android versions but it wasn't clear what the issues were.

Can anyone help a novice developer to understand the problem, and tell me how to download using HTTPS on Android version API19 and older?

Go back to voice to text engine that suggests options when its not sure which word was spoken

Hi everyone not sure exactly which point but my voice to text engine changed so now it does not give options when it's not sure which word you said

Ie you click the word in question and a sort of drop down list appears with alternatives

Anyone know how to revert to that voice to text engine? I loved it

I don't believe the change was due to firmware / os update on my part but I guess it's possible

TV Stuck at booting screen

Hard to tell just what might be the problem looking at that screen capture you posted. Hopefully the TV is just stuck in a boot-loop because of some one-off glitch and not something more serious like the Android OS was wiped or seriously corrupted.
Try unplugging the TV completely from the wall outlet, and just leave it that way for several hours. Residual power will remain in a lot of internal components (i.e. capacitors) so give them a lot of time to 'drain'. You might want to unplug everything too (audio in and out devices, HDMI, USB, etc.) Unplug things, leave it overnight, then plug the power cord in and see what happens when you try to start it up.

How long have you had this TV? If it's still covered by a warranty you might need to take advantage of that.
