Hi all,

I have a Linx 1010B tablet which originally shipped with windows 10. It got quite slow so I decided to install android 9.0 on it (I tried android 7 and 8 as well which didn't resolve the problem I am about to describe).

I am having real problems with the apps. I try to install them, and sometimes apps don't install. I then have to re-install, and usually get a cap at around 8 apps, then the app store gets stuck on 'downloading', '95/99%' or 'installing' and just stays there. I don't know why this is the case and I have reinstalled android about 11 times, trying different versions and settings.

My further problem comes when I manage to download some apps, some work, and others don't. The main one I am interested in is amazon's kindle (so I can read like a tablet), but have a real problem in getting it to work. I have never gotten past the loading screen and it just crashes, in every install. There are a few other apps which just won't open either, and I am not sure if it is a conflict with my device settings or if there is anything I need to change in settings anywhere.

I tried downloading the amazon appstore to install the amazon apps via apk but even that keeps crashing at log screen and won't let me through.

Can anyone help or point me in a direction where I can resolve this issue?

• 2GB LPDDR3
• 10.1-inch 16:9 IPS HD (1280 x 800) with 10 point multi-touchscreen

The LG Fiesta 2 has 2GB RAM (of which 1.5GB is available), and 16GB internal storage (of which 9.8GB is available).
I have not run out of memory or storage. I have a 128GB SD card installed, which I use for all storage (so long as the app allows it).

I would try safe mode, except that if it prevents my audiobook and music apps from running, there is no point in my using the phone. Those are pretty much the two main apps I use.
I don't do any social network apps, don't take many photos. I do use the Google mapping app with GPS.

Since I posted last night, I had another thought: I think I moved some apps to the SD card to free up space on internal storage. I have read that some apps don't like that, so I will move everything back to internal. If that doesn't help, I will try safe mode, but I'll have to use the built-in music player if Poweramp doesn't run in safe mode.

I am leaning towards buying a new phone anyway, but I would like to at least try to fix this one, as it is still performing pretty well (aside from the erratic behaviour). Battery life is still very good - considering the phone is 2yrs old.

Edit: I suppose that a bad connection on the headphone plug could effectively confuse the phone's circuitry into 'thinking' it is receiving signals from the buttons on a wired remote. It looks like that circuit is a very simple DC type that is expecting a specific voltage or current for each button.
While I have been using DeOxit to clean the contacts of my headphone plug and jack, it is still possible there is a bad connection.

If you still have your old phone then just go to /system/media/audio.
Ringtones and Notifications are in there. Punt them up to dropbox and Job's a goodun.

As you all know, swiping slowly left on the spacebar lets you go back a few characters to correct a typo. Much easier than trying to tap on the screen. But still it's hard to swipe back just the right amount. Haptic feedback would help.

But I don't want it to be always jerking when I type. Is there a way to enable haptic feedback as I swipe on the spacebar maybe one bump per letter? If not, I'd like to request that as a feature
(this is not just a random request; it's an active area in the automotive space: haptic feedback on the steering wheel)

ccc tv is optimized and ready to go tested on galaxy S7, S20, Google pixel 3 and pixel 4.....should run on phones running Android Oreo and above with similar screen resolutions medium sized and small screens aren't tested but won't hurt to try as long as you are using Oreo. cm backup app? never heard of it. are you saying you cannot login to the app? why not? error? what phone do you have? you should have saved your contacts via google, so that when you sign back in they would have been there ready to go for you.

It could also be an Xapk file, which your system may/may not comprehend.

In order to satisfy this, I installed a nice little gem that I found..

This should eliminate your issue whether or not you have a package installer on your device.

Although I have no ChromeBook, I do have to believe that if it has Chrome, then it must also use Android System Webview.

Chrome needs this app in order to function. (In my experience on Android).

What this means is that you should be able to install any browser that also uses Android System Webview.

This is a good thing, because many browsers do, and some of these are much better than Chrome- faster, more secure, less/no tracking, etc.

I'm sure you have heard me repeat myself repeatedly...

According to a documentation if you set the EXTRA_DISCOVERABLE_DURATION extra's value to 0, the device is always discoverable.

This is generaly what I like as well.

But, I still have to be in favor of having more options.

Brand new install of Bluestacks 4
All drivers updated
All windows updates
OS: Windows 10 64 (Home)
Processor: Intel i7-9750H 2.6GHz
RAM: 8GB DDR4 2667MHz SDRAM
NVidia GTX 1650 (4GB)

Win 10 (64bit) Home does not have the Hyper-V program capability.

App crashes midway through a match, usually in the 5 minute range.

I've adjusted and tweaked settings in Bluestacks up and down from what I've seen on the internet.
I've turned off antivirus (Norton)
I've Installed/Run Bluestacks as an administrator.
I've run the app from the app icon on the desktop as administrator.

Thoughts? Solutions?

I am currently running Nox and have no issues (other than the controls), but prefer Bluestacks.

Hi @startac4, you're welcome, glad it's resolved .

As far as 'everything' being synced, if you switch all but the Gmail one OFF then only Gmail will sync automatically.

What makes it difficult sometimes is that manufacturers do their own thing with their devices and you get different menus and paths and nomenclature, but when it comes down to app level then each app has it's own integrity and providing that you keep your apps updated to the latest version you can expect identical menus and facilities across all devices.

Wow, thanks for reviving a year old thread for such mind blowing insights. While a simple GPS ap may make golf boring for your, those of us who suck at golf will continue to try to improve

In FL Studio DAW and other software when I hover above a button it shows a small little textView telling what that button does. Can I have this in Android Studio 3.6 the latest update ?

Button icons change with each update , it's annoying to update and see all your UI screwed up and mixed up. I spent half hour looking for the Design- Text toggle. Can't they leave it alone for a year ?
