First go to Settings -- Connections -- Application Settings and turn ON "1-click connect" and "connect on boot". This will automatically start the VPN.

Then go to Settings -- Connections -- Application Settings, tap "Trusted Wifi" and whitelist your home wifi network. It will then autoconnect EXCEPT when you're at home, on your network.

I've never understood the sense of playing free roulette because there isn't any interest and goal for a win. I always thought that it was the opposite.
Generally, when locking an app, it is just like locking the device- making it inaccessible without a code.

Pinning, at least on my deices, and some others, is what will keep the app open.

I learned of this from Blokada, when people with a certain brand name of device had trouble with the app closing when in the background.

Pinning the app in the recent apps area kept the app from closing.

Not any more. Phone reverted to normal android sound. Ie. Noisy all the time !

I also sincerely witch there was a way..and actually I wouldn't consider that "stealing"..because after all you are paying for the service..that in fact isn't unexpensive and didn't come cheap at all..more over..IT IS THEM the ones that are stealing from us by reducing the speed for a service you are paying full and not at a reduce price..

Hello, I am new here and I would want to start creating some simple android applications. The first task I have to do is to create an app like that:

where for each of those persons (that are taken from a database), it should open a new small window or a dropdown box (under the name) with the person's photo, e-mail, phone number, etc.
Also, the list with the names should be automatically sorted in alphabetical order and the users should be allowed to search for a specific person, by typing his/her name.
Could you tell me how I should begin? Which are the first steps? Or could I find a tutorial that teaches how to build some similar application?

I noticed after I answered a few other questions and I csne back and saw the date , but my metro did have my mymetro 9 years ago if memory serves correct they have always had the app since they transitioned to smart phones (touch screens) I been with metro since 2003 , cheers

For me was opposite the problem..I didn't want the browser to remember I was logged in..now I was able to fix it..the browser currently asks me every times to log in..difference is that I sign in with my finger print..that's why I didn't want it to remember it..I want to be able to use the finger print as much as I can..

Who set up your phone for you? The Camera app typically is set to use internal storage by default as a microSD card is a user optional matter so someone must have changed the default save location at some point. It might work out better if you contact them again, have them look into what is going on, and fix the problem(s).

I write code that runs both on applications running in emulators, as well as code that runs docker images locally.

I debug both code bases at the same time, since I'm testing scenarios such as "what did App sent to server? What did the server process? What was sent back?"

For that, I've had a build that runs Android Emulator + IntelliJ IDE debugging the app + another IntelliJ IDE debugging a dockerized Kotlin react server + chrome providing real-time debug logs in between.

At worst, when debugging both scenarios i'm clocking at 90% my total CPU count (it's an i7), with about 14 gigs of RAM usage (I have 16).

So this got me thinking. since I have multiple processes running (the 2 IDEs, the Emulator VM, the docker image + Chrome + whatever remote debugging processes that trigger) if a CPU with high number of cores + tons of RAM would help out.

This led me to start thinking about switching from an i7 to a Xenon / Ryzen / threadripper class SKU, while expanding my RAM to 64.

So before I sink A TON of money on this - I was wondering if anyone out there in the Stackflow community faced similar dilemmas and resolved similarly as well.

In essence, are Xenon / Ryzen style processors BETTER at simultaneous debugging scenarios?

Agreed! We've been going over some of the other safety things she might be able to do to defend herself. Tasers, pepper spray, even self-defense classes online as it's a pretty remote area she walks to and from. The whole thing just infuriates me as it really shouldn't be this way when she's just trying to keep her head down and keep steady employment. Even her walking has been hindered by people calling the cops multiple times merely for walking by their houses, in an area where most don't walk unless it's for exercise, merely to harass her. But I do try to remind her, given everything, having the cops called may be to her advantage since she's experiencing this level of danger on an almost daily basis.😊
