Great phone if you're not a klutz (like me)

Sorry it didn't work out for you. Luckily I haven't dropped mine, yet...
I didn't expect to :P It definitely cheesed me off, I was being really careful, I'd used the P2 the same way with no issues, but apparently it's just not wise for me to take chances like that. I bought a waterproof case for it (that thing is fugly but it'll work for those times I need to be extra careful) - but I'm definitely watching for P4 deals again (they just had it for 100 off at the Google store but I'll wait for a bigger sale or price drop.

It is a really nice phone for the price, though. Other than this user issue on my end  it's a great phone & I'm happy with it, so thanks for putting the idea in my head to look closer at it.

Can't use volume booster appthey don't work on my T-Mobile revelry anybody else have this problem?

Android has a strange and sometimes problematic set up for volume boosters, equalizers, surround sound, and the like.

Typically, you can use only one at a time, and often the device has one built in already that can be on without you knowing it- therefore disabling the one that you want on.

When this occurs with my devices, I usually have to reboot them, and then the app I want to use will work.

Also, most volume 'boosters' typically don't really make the device any louder than it already can be.

Two that I have found are EQ FX from UpToDown and SpeakerBoost from APK Pure.

If you want ad-free, then use versions 2.0 for EQ FX and 2.03 for SpeakerBoost.

EQ FX has a loudness control that boosts sound and also a virtualizer that helps as well.

SpeakerBoost is an actual booster, but with this comes a warning- if you play sounds too loud using the app you can actually damage the device. This is clearly explained when you first open the app.

Both are fully user controlled as to the amount of each effect.

Help please

Before you switch carriers, see if any of your friends with different carriers can go with you to wherever your phone doesn't work.

See if their phones work.

Then see who has the best signal.

I only say this because there are still some areas that have virtually no cellular coverage, and in that case you need something else.

For a friend of mine, I went to his home with two different phones from two different carriers.

Neither one worked well at his house.

But he does have good Wi-Fi, so I helped him set up a VoIP app on his phone to use his Wi-Fi instead of cellular when he is at home.

Sync E-Mail between Thunderbird and Andriod

This thread is a null issue
Considering its OP was in 2011, no kidding!
focusing on syncing data between mail clients isn't a 'thing'. Instead look into each mail client application (PC) or app (mobile device) tying into the email service involved (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo Mail, AOL Mail, etc.).
Much depends on the individual's needs.

As noted, I did install the app, FairEmail, named in the post that resurrected the thread. I've since paid for its Pro version.

I've looked at various Android mail apps over the years, but they all lacked something I needed/wanted. This one doesn't! It gives me nearly the same functionality I'm used to in my real mail client, SeaMonkey, which I've used on my computers since its days as Netscape Communicator (and it's Thunderbird's predecessor).

I don't use Gmail or its app at all; the only mail that comes to that address is from Google, like Play Store purchase confirmations. I have SeaMonkey set up to handle Gmail, my private Earthlink address (I've had for 25+ years!), and all the mail for my three domains. In SeaMonkey, all those accounts are seen and accessible at once, and that was one main thing I was looking for in an Android app.

I use my main computer as the central location for all my mail, so anything received on my phone stays on its respective server until downloaded on it. I have mail I can still access with SeaMonkey from the '90s!

How to wipe Android phone?

thanks.. but i heard that factory reset can't erase data completey and it can be easily recovered by some data recovery, right ?

see this:
https://www.safewiper.com/tutorials/how-to-delete-text-messages-android-phone.html

I was worried!
A simple solution is to just try and do a recovery yourself then. If your phone's internal storage is already encrypted do a Factory Reset and see what happens for yourself when you use one of those utilities to restore your data. If it isn't go into the Settings menu and encrypt the storage, and then see what happens when you try to restore your data.
Or if you don't want to see what the actual results will be, again, just take a hammer to your phone for your own peace of mind.

Reminder App to Sync With Calendar - Outlook

I need an app to sync with Outlook Calendar that will automatically set an alarm on my phone to go off when the appointment is due.

I work with automatic scheduling of appointments (Appointments that just get put on my calander) and I have missed so many becuase I'm not getting notified... I do get the typical outlook reminder on my phone and PC but that's often missed because it just pops up and gets hidden or lost in a stack of other reminders.

I'd like an appointment to get scheduled and then an alarm to go off similar to a wake up alarm so it won't stop until i turn it off.

Any ideas? Help!

Help Emulator "Application Stopped" Error

I think there is no problem during installation. I tried looking at different videos from the internet. But I couldn't find the solution.
I've tried: Android-x86 [Pie (9), Oreo (8), Nougat (7)], Remix OS, Phoenix OS

My Computer Features:
Processor: i5-3210M
RAM: 4 GB
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon™ HD 7670M
HDD: 500 GB
The GB I allocate to the emulator: I've tried 200GB, 50GB and 32GB .

Latest APK download causes phone to revert to earlier version app

On more than one phone that has a version (v1.06) already installed from an APK, when I navigate to the latest (v1.07) APK stored on our intranet, download and install it, the installed version on the phone then reflects an even earlier version v1.04.

The only way I can get the latest version onto these phones is to plug one of these phones into the Android Studio loaded PC, and run it as an emulator. Once loaded, I then use ShareIt to get it onto the other phones.

The latest APK is DEFINITELY v1.07 that is stored on our intranet, because phones that don't yet have it on, they reflect this v1.07 when downloading and installing it.

On the phones that are reverting to an earlier version, I have tried uninstalling the app first, deleting any previous APK and file downloads, and then downloading the v1.07 version. It still reverts back to v1.04.
