Formatting SD Card As Internal Storage

Well support for formatting microSD cards was added to the base Android operating system back in 2015 with Marshmallow (vers. 6.x) so it's an integral function in the OS but not every manufacturer enables it in their phones. Don't bother looking for it in your Galaxy Tab A, Samsung doesn't enable it their products. Don't know about Xiaomi though, as @ocnbrze suggested to you, look in your Settings >> Storage menu to see if the option for Portable and Internal are there. It really does vary a lot because some manufacturers will allow it in some models and not others, or not at all. A lot of Motorola phones do, but not all.

Help Navigation buttons (home, back and open apps) freeze up

To solve the freezing issue on the Samsung S7 tablet’s navigation button, you can factory reset your tablet using hardware keys.

Here are the steps to do this:

· Switch off your phone.

· Press and hold the Volume Up + Power keys unless you see the Android Recovery screen. After this, leave both buttons.

· Use the Volume Down key to scroll down to Wipe Data/Factory Reset and select is using Power key.

· Choose Yes.

· Once the reset process gets completed choose Reboot system now.

What material must the case be made of to at least slightly protect the phone from the cold?

I'm sure "The Puffer Case" is more about fashion than actual protection from extreme cold, just like with puffer coats.

How do I copy my wallpaper photo to my PC?

I get Bing daily photos on the lockscreen of my secondary phone with a 720p LCD screen, and they look terrific on it.

I think I get the same photo on my Win PC desktop, and you can advance them forward or back a few shots and click on the B icon for photo information or location.

Just in case you allowed Bing (Microsoft search) to do your screensavers on your phone.

I have a Samsung, so nobody will listen to me?

My Android 7 phone is great on Boinc, but my Android 11 (was 9) phone won't let most things run. WCG crashes, Yoyo and another maths project give up in seconds, and they've written on their forums new Android has a security problem. Something to do with a program launching another program is now forbidden, with no user choice! So only two projects will run and have work for my new phone - Universe and Einstein.

You can also turn off read receipts (blue ticks), though I don't know whether that would also turn off delivery receipts (grey ticks). The truth is I don't know what being blocked looks like to the blockee: I imagine it doesn't tell you, but don't know exactly what you see. But what you see is not definitive, there are other things that can produce the same effect. If they continue not to read your messages at some point you may draw the conclusion that they aren't going to either, but jumping to that conclusion too soon can have bad consequences too (depending on the circumstances, which I don't know).

Help HTC One M8 stuck on boot screen...

The volume down button doesn't seem to be working i.e. I cannot select any options using it. The power button does work as it lets me turn my phone on or when held in combo with volume up, then it turns my phone off.

For example in the morning they may be working fine, but then suddenly stopped working during the day, before the working again and then ultimately the volume down button working not working most recently.

There was also an update ready to be installed but I didn't have the space on my phone to download it, so it hasn't been installed.

I don't mind performing a factory reset but obviously cannot select the option on my phone HOWEVER if anyone knows how this can be initiated by plugging it into the computer that would be great?

I am currently on EE UK. The information on the white screen is as follows.

I know this is an old post, but I literally had the same issue and same boot screen with my HTC Droid DNA.

I found a solution that worked for me without USB debugging or using the computer.

I kept this old phone around in case I could get into it someday to access the photos and videos on it. I would get it out every once in a while and try to get into it.

I had the same issue with only being able to hit the UP Volume button, which would move the selection down the list for some reason. The power button would not select anything, and the Volume DOWN did nothing as well.

I was finally able to get it to boot into safe mode.

Here's what I did:
1. Turn the Phone OFF (Hold the Power Button until it turns off 10 sec or so)
2. Press the Power Button and Volume UP and hold until you see the HTC Logo
3. From there it literally just booted into the Phone as normal, except there was a label on the screen saying Safe Mode.

I can't believe it was that easy...

Literally all the internet apps are too old to work with this phone, so I downloaded Android Studio and was able to save the files to my computer with the Device Manager.

I hope this helps someone recover their old photos and videos as well.
