I'm not huge on leaderboard kinda things, but I have to admit, I do find it fun to follow along even casually. I have posted a few photos to Google Maps over the years and I always find it amusing how many views I pile up whenever I get the automated emails.

I actually solved my problem by saving to Android/media via getExternalMediaDirs() - at least I can access it from file manager and write files from standard API.

Could be the speed of the whatever it is website you're downloading the APK files from. Maybe that is slow?

what phone do you have? have you tried other launchers like the nova launcher?

1st off call settings is not under the phone settings. you can do a search within the phone's settings to find it....but it is not directly under settings. you can also go into the phone app and then into it's settings to find "call settings"

2nd in samsung phone's do not have a double tap feature under call settings. it is found under accessibilty. you have to turn that on or off to disable the double tap feature. there is no other way to do this.

This can be for a number of reasons.
#1: You're phone is linked to criminal activity or has been labeled as stolen and the IMEI has been disabled, Your IMEI is the only way your mobile carrier can verify that you have a phone number and other things and It's linked and saved into records, when criminal actvity or theft happens, these records are accessed and if the phone doesn't have a SIM, It connects to Emegerncy cell towers to label your phone as Blacklisted and cannot be used anymore unless you prove you are the owner of your phone,
Or
#2: You're SIM card isn't activated or has been disabled due to either you havent payed a bill or your account is on hold for a select number of reasons.

I'm currently in a distressing situation and in need of advice regarding technology and safety at home and on my phone. A few years ago, I experienced unsettling intruder incidents at home, which has left me stressed. As a precaution, friends often stay with me.

A - Phone Issue: I consistently face issues with every phone I purchase. Notably, unfamiliar numbers appear on the dial screen, and certain apps seem to transfer between phones unexpectedly.

Are these new phones or phones you get from your boyfriend?

B - Wi-Fi Issue: Initially, my Wi-Fi worked only with a connected lead, providing a speed of 19 mb/s instead of the promised 49 mb/s. After some adjustments, the speed improved to 49 mb/s, but I suspect some tampering.

C - Google Account Issue: While trying to recover my Google account password, I noticed an unfamiliar phone number associated with the account, raising suspicions.

Have you given anyone else access to your Google account? like your boyfriend? or a good friend

I've never seen anything in developer options to stop mic and camera access for all apps. You can turn that off for individual apps in Settings > Apps though. I don't know what Android version you have (I think you said it was a Samsung in another thread), but on my Galaxy s21 (Android 13) the trick is to go into Settings > Apps, click on "Permission Manager" and you can then see a list of permissions and how many apps are allowed to use them (and how many are capable of doing so if you let them). Click on "Camera" or "Microphone" and you have a list of the apps that have access, and by clicking on those apps you can change their permissions so that only those you trust can use it.

But since an app should have to ask for permission before it can access either of these, in principle only those that you've said yes to should have that permission. Even so it might be worth a check - if you disable it for an app and change your mind later you can always re-enable it.

It's harmless to have developer options enabled (as long as you don't mess with things where you don't know what they do ). I was just concerned that it might have been enabled without you doing so, which would imply that someone had been messing with the phone.

The the second Orangefox recovery (the one for different touch screen) doesn't boot:

Update: Turning off "Overview Suggestions" on the home screen fixed the issue.

It was probably there all along, though system updates can change these things.

It's not unknown for service providers to include their own apps as well when the phone is bought through them, so the O2 app is probably one that they pre-installed on the phone. Is the icon very distinctive, or completely generic? It might be coincidence that they have the same icon, or even that neither has an icon and you are just seeing Android's default icon (though that normally has an "android" theme rather than looking in any way like a SIM).
