Help Question about tv box gaming

I did a lot of research on different models from different companies, and I ended up deciding on GemBox. I know The reviews were sometimes not great but I chose it for these main reasons:

1.although old version of installed android os means a bit of a limited library of compatible software it’s still enough to get my feet wet in Android micro consoles(my household is iOS filled because of communication reasons)
2. It plays home media files and other things via SD cards.
3. Many emulators and is easy to transport on long trips due to size of hardware.
4.Pc game streaming app
5. Longer load times does and little slowdowns does not phase me(I used to game on a hyperscan! Now that’s slow!)
6. I’m a programmer and I might dev for it.
I’ll tell you what it was like to actually use it when It comes around Thursday.

I said I’d be back to say if it’s good or not, and it truly is a 10/10. Gembox is Truly a great games and multimedia machine that still works very well. I tested emulators and pre bundled game. Works great with usb portable hard drive for file transfer. Yes!!!

Help Need Urgent Help for Unbrick my Redmi 4 (Indian Version)

you can also try and flash a custom rom as well, instead of flashing the firmware update as suggested by @Dannydet
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-redmi-4x/development

there is plenty to choose from. just remember as long as you have a custom recovery (twrp) all is good....no need to panic.

and always when wiping, as you are finding out, you need to be extra careful on what you select to wipe.

....good luck and keep us posted

Error while waiting for device: Could not start AVD

I recently installed android studio on my pc, created virtual device but when I click " run 'app' " the only thing that happens is error "Error while waiting for device: Could not start AVD", this error is in "Run" tool window, besides that there's absolutely no information what and why that happens.

Few things worth mentioning:
  • I have enabled virtualization in bios
  • I tried deleting virtual device and create new one, no change
  • I have installed android sdk
Anyone knows how to resolve that problem?

2XL to 4a?

The screen area is slightly smaller but the device itself is much smaller, which is a good trade-off. The processor may be "mid range", but I'll take a 2020 mid-range SoC over a 2017 flagship one any time (the 700 series have always been a good balance of computing power and energy efficiency). And yeah, forget the excuses that various manufacturers have made, removing the 3.5mm jack was always about increasing their margins and of no benefit to the user (I always think it telling that Apple started it just a few months after they bought a popular headphone manufacturer - I'm sure they hoped to benefit from driving people to bluetooth headphones).

My Pixel 2 is still working fine apart from the battery life not being what it was, so on environmental grounds I'm so far resisting upgrading to the 4a. But if anything happens to it (or the battery lets me down in a bad way) then it's a no-brainer indeed.

How to prevent auto-creation of empty dirs on new sdcard?

Why does Android leave these directories not in built-in memory of my tablet?

It may very well have the same directories on your internal volume. These are temporary locations created to keep user and app data while an app is being used. The fact that they are empty should tell you that this is temporary use only. Because you inserted your SD card as removable storage, those locations are put there for the apps that had access to the SD card while running. There's really nothing to be concerned about.

Is there any way to move them back to their original location?

That is their original location.

Does anyone remember this Egg Timer app?

There are a couple of results on F-Droid, when searching for 'kitchen timer' (more results may come up with different search terms)

https://f-droid.org/

OpenTimer (Countdown Timer) - https://f-droid.org/app/edu.killerud.kitchentimer

Kitchen Timer (Simple Timer) - https://f-droid.org/app/com.leinardi.kitchentimer

Sure, they are old.

But being on F-Droid means that they are safe and ad-free.
