No love for the 10e?

me....i love my note 10+. curious as to what they are going to do with the note 20 and the note 21 the following year. after having the note series for over 5 years now, i can't see my self going back to a smaller screen.
Meanwhile I'm noticing that Apple seem to be putting more effort into phone-sized phones (the recent SE and persistent rumours of a smaller iPhone in this Autumn's released) and hoping that Android manufacturers will follow.

It really would be nice for manufacturers to offer a choice, rather than most offering what used to be called phablets and nothing else. I do worry that this may eventually push me to jumping ship if the trend continues (even the smallest Galaxy S is getting bigger).

When your Android keyboard does not work and shows some problem on Android then its better to restore to default. Here is how to restore keyboard to default:

· Click on Settings > go to Personal > Language & Input option

· Then move down to Keyboard & Input Methods option for keyboards list installed

· Here to switch keyboards, click on the Default option and select among the installed and active keyboards.

Help i need serious help

i have lenovo tab s8 50lc and it does not have an os installed and when i try to flash a custom rom or even the stock rom it fails and it never boots .... i tried to put it into recovery and had twrp started from pc as it is not flashed on the device and i tried fastboot method using adb and it tells me that it is unauthorized as usb debugging is not turned on or the oem unlock option in dveloper options so could you please help me
twrp has to be on your device in order for you to flash a custom recovery. so do you have it installed? did you wipe properly before flashing the rom? with fastboot you said it it told you "it is unauthorized". what command did you use? can you post a read out of the commands?

More Problems: Camera Lens Breaks. :(

I've dropped my Galaxy S20 Ultra many multiples of times directly on its face, on its back, directly on the camera, etc... without any case. It has really been through the ringer. There are a few small nicks in the screen but that's it. The camera casing and the phone in general has been very, very sturdy for me. I'm lucky nothing has cracked to be honest.

The article suggests that the Galaxy S20 Ultra zoom camera, when zoomed fully in, hits the actual glass of the camera enclosure. If that's the case and it's even a few millimeters off then I could see how repeated zooming in/out would wear on the glass, cause a hairline fracture, and then eventually break. To say it's randomly breaking in the pocket does not sound accurate.

Weird that this be happening to some devices and not others. I assume anyone who purchased a Galaxy S20 Ultra has used the heck out of the Zoom lens so you would think the problem would be more widespread if it was indeed a big problem. I think it's more likely that it's a manufacturing defect in a very small number of devices and these few people are the unlucky ones.

Sucks that Samsung isn't owning up to the mistake if it is indeed a manufacturing defect. I also wouldn't rule out a competing company lodging these claims since we've seen underhanded tactics throughout the mobile world time and time again.

If anyone here has the problem I would love to hear more!

Hi Rob,
Yes myself along with numerous other s20 Ultra and a few S20 customers have fallen victim to the unexplained Camera Glass Crack. I know for me this has occured through no form of abuse or neglect of the phone, phone in a case with screen protector since unboxing and I just took my phone off Samsung provided charger the other day and it was cracked. Store believe its a manufacturing fault related to heating when charging. There does appear to be a few different issues though. Some people are getting the "bullet hole" shatter to the rear camera and others like me a getting the hairline cracks. Samsung are refusing to repair these devices under warranty as they state it is "cosmetic damage." That may be so, but it is the result of something happening internally. My phone is currently with Samsung and I am disputing this matter. I have raised it with Australia's ACCC and Consumer Affairs under Consumer Rights Legislation. If these phones are heating to the point of glass breaking then this is also a safety concern. Samsung need to either repair/replace/refund or recall these devices.

Another HELP, Emergency!!

Please see my post regarding this.

You should have these repos in your F-Droid app as well.
But presenting a link, with no instructions or disclaimers, like this:

"Bitwarden (A secure and free password manager for all of your devices.) - https://f-droid.org/app/com.x8bit.bitwarden"

gives the impression that the link leads right to the app. But it doesn't.
In fact, I am surprised that this is news to anyone on this forum, lol.
Speaking only for myself, repositories are things I deal with very rarely, when needing something that the [K]Ubuntu default repositories don't have. On Android, I buy all my apps through the Play Store. So, for me, it's no mystery why following a standalone link, expecting to be taken to the app it named, resulted in confusion at seeing 404.

Videogame Recommendation App - Tools to use

Hello all,

For my final year project at university (Bsc Computer Science) I have decided to create a Videogame Recommendation App on Android.

I intend to utilise machine learning to look at a dataset (e.g. Steam games and the average user rating) to determine the best games for the user, based on their previous 'likes'.

Machine Learning is all new to me so I've spent some time watching Python tutorials on how to set up and train a ML model. However my biggest concern is how to choose the right tools that will work with Java, and more importantly Android Studio (the IDE I have decided to use).

I've done some very minor research on frameworks such as Mahout, ML Kit and TensorFlow Lite however I'm very unsure about which to choose and moreover how to integrate within the core part of the app. I'm guessing that I won't be able to call a python script using Java so am very unsure.

Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

Need Help Disabling the Multi User in Android 7

I wanted to disable the multi-user feature in Android in my both Motorola phones, one has Android 5.1 and other has Android 7. I have been successful in Android 5.1 phone through the CMD command using ADB tools, the command I ran is this to disable it:

db shell settings put global guest_user_enabled 0

And the result is this that the user icon under the notification swipe on the top right does not work now it does not do anything when tapped. Video is attached.

Now the same command I am running in my Android 7 phone is not working and the user panel is same as it is, this is where I need your help, what wrong am I doing or is there any change in the command that is need to be done. I just want it disabled like in Android 5.1.

What Alarm App is Going Off?!

If your 'normal' tone is set as the defaut tone, then it will be the sound that you hear.

Generally this can carry over from app to app.

All I can tell you is ro go through each app you have installed to figure it out, or better yet to enter the Developers Options and go into running services- maybe even right before the alarm goes off.

An app like this will probably run constantly, so it should show up anyway- but most likely will be obvious while the alarm is actually going off.

You may even need to wait until that moment and then select Running Services to find it.
