I forgot I had an Instagram account; I had never installed its Android app, so I did that now. Then, when prompted to add a pic to my profile, everything became crystal clear!

As I said in this post: IG doesn't know which gallery app you use; 'gallery' is a generic term for a collection of images; IG's "Gallery" that you're seeing may coincidentally have the same name as your gallery app, but is likely displaying all the images on the device. Yep.

This is what I see when initiating uploading an image using the Instagram app:



See the word 'Gallery' at the top? That's not the name of your gallery app coincidentally named Gallery--it's a generic word for collection of images. As you can see, it automatically displays various images from my device.

Note the drop-down menu indicator right after the word Gallery, the little, black, down arrow; press it:



You're now able to choose images from any of the locations listed--which will be different from mine.

Mystery solved!

Your XML is not well-formed. In general, this error indicates that something is wrong with the range of the start and end tags.
Check all the tags of the xml file that you modify or post here the code.

Never mind, I can do the tracks on my ps3, while on any machine to look up each of the track list.
Enter them in manually, also have it there, while transfering the track list onto my p.c., while having each one there.

I was really not thinking clearly.

My old S3 is my bedside clock/radio and my car GPS. Don't use it as a phone but its still got some uses.

I also enjoy playing with radio, albeit on a much more forgiving wavelength- 11m.

I have built different antennas of all sorts and tested even more in the backyard.

The first one I tried was quite the overkill- a ½wave J-Pole around 26ft high made out of 12AWG copper wire.

It wasn't long before we noticed 'black SUVs' cruising around the neighborhood.
(actually, they aren't all black,, lol)

My cat used to 'help' by chasing and pulling the coax as I ran it to and from the garage.

Its called accessibility. You have to double tap on the app or setting to gain accesses. Just double tap your way into settings and locate accessibility to turn out off

It's most likely a system app. I don't see anything nefarious with it. It's grayed out because it is a system app and you do not have permission to access it.

There are many threads like yours with similar questions. A lot of system apps and processes can be named suspiciously, but they are not.

I wouldn't listen to that speculation about TV vs display. Android TV boxes work fine on desktop displays. You're talking about control interfaces.

The majority of Android devices have touchscreen support, it's just a matter of whether it's enabled in the kernel or not. I've tried a few Android solutions. The Raspberry Pi Android builds I found didn't have touchscreen support at all. The generic Android TV 9.0 I tried from Amazon was touchscreen enabled but didn't have the navigation bar enabled and that makes it basically incompatible.

What worked for me (and I have an Acer T232HL) is a Tinkerboard from ASUS with their Android 7.1.2 build. Not the latest version of Android sadly, but it does work.

I don't recommend getting a tablet (not big enough and not upgradeable). The laptop idea might be better. Although for Chromebook, there's no guarantee that there's support for the touchscreen there either. I've even seen complaints about there not being proper drivers for the Acer on some Windows versions. I wouldn't count on Mac support either.

Again, support for a touchscreen is support for a touchscreen. Only people who have actually gotten it to work should be answering this question.

In my case, though, it helps to set it each time - I have a BT speaker for my general working area, and a BT stereo headset. I can easily take calls on the headset, but I'd rather not take them on the speaker. Yes, I could always go back in a change that setting... but one way or another we would end up changing something to suit our situation...

I've stopped trying to take as many close up photos/videos and instead will stand further away and zoom. The focusing issues are worse at close range. Super disappointing but trying to work around it as best as possible.
