Help Reformat SanDisk SD32Gb

Samsung PRO 125GB [...] probably a bit on the Overkill side but should take care of My Storage. Thanks to All for your Assistance ‍, much appreciated!!
You think that's overkill? I'll probably get a 1 TB (1000 GB) card for my tablet. But my tablet runs two operating systems, Android and Windows, and some of those Windows games eat up a lot of space. My advice: Don't feel too bad about overkill on an SD card, because SD cards have a lot of uses. For example: I'll be reusing my tablet's current microSD card as a USB disk. The card just needs an adaptor to turn it into a stick that plugs into a USB port, rather than a little card that could get lost easily.

Addendum 2023-07-15: Considering that I'm doing work with backing up my files on cloud storage, that 1TB is coming in handy! True, the point is cloud storage is to not have to store files locally. But files still must be downloaded from, and uploaded to, the cloud server. That requires that files be stored temporarily on your computer (and smartphones are computers).

Apps Scraping text from android app to desktop

Hi everybody! I'm working on a project where I want to extract text from an android app to my desktop, and I'm wondering if anyone knows of any libraries/similar projects that I could use. I've searched online but the projects/articles I found mainly seem to concern scraping web traffic to and from a phone, which isn't really what I'm after since the apps I'm looking at store data locally.

Another question I have is about the development of such a feature. Since I've never worked in the android environment I'm not quite sure about the terminology and such, but would using the accessibility features of the phone be a good approach to solving such a problem? I looked at the app "Universal Copy", which seems to have similar functionality to what I'm after and from what I understand that is built on accessibility features.

Thanks for reading :)

Rename "Computers" Section "Desktop & Laptop computers"?

You created this thread, did you not?

Rename "Computers" Section "Desktop & Laptop computers"?

That's what we're talking about, to NOT lump these devices into 1 massive category.
My understanding is: The "Computers" section, as it currently stands, for desktops and laptops. It is not for tablets and smartphones. Am I mistaken?

Help tcl tab pro 5g FRP authentication loop

Cant provide any help myself. But it sounds like TCL's MDM is a rather half-baked, from what you're describing. Perhaps your organisation is better going with something like Samsung's Knox Manage for MDM and corporate mobile device fleet?

Motherboard Upgrade to Run Modern Android?

If only Project ARA had become a thing.

Desktop computers can often have their mainboards and CPUs replaced with newer, if they follow PC industry standards like ATX and microATX. But of course there's no similar industry standards for laptop computers, tablet computers, and smart-phones. Every device is proprietary and does their own things.

Root [ROM][2.3.4][SuperLite][LG Ally] SmallDroid v3.0 FINAL - Updated 8/03/14

Hello I'm new here but I was wondering if anyone saved this rom anywhere on their drives. As of now the rom is considered lost media due to androidfilehost not having it right now. It seems stock android 2.3.4 is available for it however due to the age of the phone all the extra bloat takes a toll on the storage space. Any reupload would be great for not only the history of the device but pushing out any sort of functionality on the phone in the year that I'm typing this, 2023. Thanks in advance :)

Help "Can using an Infrared Towel Warmer provide any health benefits?

What benefit would heating a towel through radiation rather than conduction (putting it on a heated towel rail) bring?

I'd have thought that a hot bath would be more effective, because the heat capacity of a towel is very small compared to that of a bath of water and so the warming effect of the towel will be smaller and much shorter.

Recovering text messages from 3 or 4 years ago?

No, if you don't have a backup of your own they are gone.

Technically messages only need to be stored on a server until they are delivered (up to some maximum time). Once that it done they are deleted. Many people would not regard it as desirable for the carrier to keep a copy of their personal communications.

In some countries the carrier may be required by law to keep the messages (or at least records of who messages were exchanged between) for some period of time after delivery in case the police or security services turn up with a warrant. But that doesn't necessarily mean that they'll release a copy of the message to the phone user even if they have it somewhere. And the records will be deleted once the statutary period expires, because storing them costs money and the company receives no benefit from doing so.

In the case of ATT they say that they keep the records of who messages were sent to/received by and when for some period, but don't store the message content at all. So in principle you could get the phone number, but 3-4 years is probably too long in the past. I've seen a message that you can log into your ATT account and look for text logs in your usage section, but that the record will only go back 16 months (I'm not an ATT customer so can't verify any of that).
