A G6 model that works with all 4 US carriers?

I was at Verizon store recently and in a corner among various cables, battery packs and assorted variety of things I found a LG G6. I bought one in January of 2017 through TMobile and by August the unit had disappear from the shelves. So I asked a representative about it his response waso_O basically it was there for decoration no one was interested in buying it,

You might find this of interest.

Apps Crossed out onAttach(activity) = deprecated ?

This worked for me when i have userdefind interface 'TopSectionFragment' and its object activitycommander:

//This method gets called whenever we attach fragment to the activity
@override
public void onAttach(Context context) {
super.onAttach(context);
Activity a=getActivity();
try {
if(context instanceof Activity)
this.activitycommander=(TopSectionListener)a;
}catch (ClassCastException e){
throw new ClassCastException(a.toString());}

}

A few questions about my new phone

If you haven't been able to find it..instead trying to find it..go to the "unknown" app you are trying to install..then go ahead like you will try to install..at that point your phone should prompt you where you are supposedly switch the slider button..

I hope this helped..OR like the guys here suggested..if you go to the search bar and you start typing the words..it should populate

Help Storage clearing help!

Well if you can't find just what files are taking up so much storage space, it might be time to either take it to a trusted service shop and have them look your phone over, or a more drastic measure and do a Factory Reset.
But with either option, be sure all your data is backed up first. Install Samsung's Smart Switch utility:
https://www.samsung.com/us/smart-switch/
It will allow you to do a full backup and make the restore process at least less of a hassle.

Did Google Change Chrome?

Whether you like it or not, please make use of the Menu > Help & feedback > Send feedback option in Chrome to let the devs know what you think about the bottom navigation bar. I personally love it as it puts things within easier reach of my thumb, but I know a lot of people don't particularly care for it. The Chrome team can use your feedback to help influence changes like this in the future.

For now, you may be able to control this behavior by modifying flags, but this isn't without some risk. Flags are meant to be used by developers and not us commoners; they're experimental in nature and may break or disappear without warning. They can be fun to play with and get a feel for what may be to come, but they shouldn't be relied upon as a permanent solution.

That said....
  1. Open Chrome and enter chrome://flags#enable-chrome-duet in the address bar.
  2. Change the dropdown to enable/disable the feature, or select Default to let Chrome choose on its own.
  3. You'll be prompted to relaunch Chrome; do so.
  4. For this one you'll actually need to exit Chrome again by swiping it out of the Recents list, and then manually launch it once more.
  5. ???
  6. Profit
Again, keep in mind that flags are experimental and temporary. It looks like this particular flag is currently set to be removed with Chrome v79 which will be released in December. Once a flag is removed you'll be at the mercy of Chrome once again with no way to override the behavior. So, again, SEND FEEDBACK if you're not wild about the change!

Mods A new kind of Project

I need some help literally Stripping an S8 or Note 5. Many times I have rooted devices for my own use however, I have never tried to take away many of the main device functionality on purpose.

Situation:

I have an older brother whom is Autistic and now 46 years old. Music is his thing, there is no other for him. I'm 40 and when I was a child he had 200 some odd cassette tapes. Listened to them all day. The writing was worn off all of them. But let me tell you he would dump out this chest of tapes, you could ask him for an artist he had in that huge pile, and in a matter of seconds he would pull it out. That is one of his special gifts.....

Now a few years ago we got him to go to Cd's which was quite a feat on it's own. Now he carries a discman and 150 Cd's. This is getting harder and harder to keep up with. We tried getting him to use a tablet but he would touch something and get frustrated as it was too much for him to operate.

MP3 Players:

This is what we are currently wanting to try. He can read and write, so that is not an issue. The very basic ones have no display, the others that are larger and easier to read (his vision isn't the greatest as he has lost vision in one eye) BUT, they also have bunch of other stuff that he can get into where we may have the tablet issue above again...... Everything he has is on mp3, 4000+ no streaming ability needed, or BT.

FINAL:

Is there ANYONE that has a solution? I need basic MP3 player via a phone completely stripped to the core or one that someone knows that they can get the other apps out (books, etc.) Forcing a phone into a kids mode maybe with no bloatware would be great as well. I have an S8 and Note 5 that mean nothing to me.

Comments welcome and any help would be appreciated.... Dallas TX.....

Can anyone explain to me what android setup HD1900 is about?

Where did you buy this OnePlus 7T? Because it might be a grey import, specifically a China variant that's been unofficially re-reflashed and something may have gone wrong with it. If you only just bought it, definitely see about returning it for replacement or refund.

OnePlus 7T HD1900 8GB/256GB Dual Sim - Frosted Silver (CN Ver with Google)

OnePlus variants intended for China come with Hydrogen OS that doesn't have Google services in it, as opposed to Oxygen OS for international markets.

How to access my .backup file

I'm hoping someone can help with my query.. I've tried searching, youtubing and hammer none seem to give the desired result.

I have an Acer e380 (Liquid E3) which will not get past boot. I have attempted to download, clear cache partition and again hammer, however none worked. My issue is that I have many photos on the phone I want to retrieve before doing a master reset. Now I have a new phone so I dont care about fixing it, however those photos are irreplaceable.
I finally manager to do a backup from root which stored onto an ad card. The only official way of me getting this back is now doing a full data factory reset and doing a restore from the .backup file. However I dont trust it and want to peek inside the file on my windows machine to see if all my pictures and stuff are in there.

How can I unpack the .backup file it created in windows?

Please help
Thanks
Mik
